BTN: $46.98 (187.9 bb)
SB: $13.94 (55.8 bb)
BB: $31.99 (128 bb)
UTG: $25.04 (100.2 bb)
Hero (MP): $62.63 (250.5 bb)
CO: $29.84 (119.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with AK / QQ
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.75, CO calls $0.75, 2 folds, BB raises to $3.25, Hero???

BB’s play is seemingly strong, but it also looks like a prime squeeze spot so I give less credit generally. Folding feels weak, but if I call, CO will most likely come along which starts to suck. If I 4bet and get shipped on I’m doing terribly imo, but if they fold (because CO isn’t showing much strength and BB is potentially less strong just cos he squeezes) then I scoop a nice pot with a type of hand that is best at scooping dead money.

What is your play here and why? Ty.

Hey Lewis,

Given stack depths, I think this is more a call. Deeper stacks usually narrows BB's range although it shouldn't. Most NL25 players are afraid of getting OOP in a bigger pot with stacks behind so opt for wider calling range.

Both AK and QQ play OK here, you just have to keep in mind not to go to crazy with one pair. You just basically under-represent your hand a bit, you get a lot of value when people bet repping what you have.

If you were 100bb deep against him, I would 4bet and call it off. When you get it in you are basically flipping against his range, maybe a bit behind but you have enough dead money there to do it plus it balances your 4bet bluff range here. If you think you shouldn't 4bet bluff ( I think you should, people 3bet/fold at NL25 quite a bit, that's why you don't get much value when you get it in) then calling is also OK.
