PRelop did not notice that we are 3way so made too small 3bet.

On flop he could easily call with A high and bluff the turn. But c/c w JJ also not too great. He can have Qx and Kx.

Is there a way to play better this hand?

Hey S,

Why do you cbet? If you don't have a good reason for it, turns will never be easy. I think the K is one of the best cards for you to check/call on. It makes Qx less likely as KQ is 2pair and fewer combos and it's also not in his flop floating range. AK 4bets preflop and there's no other Kx he could have.

because he does not like to fold to cbets and I get value from hands like A high and so. Is this bad cbet?

You mustn't think just one street, you have to think previous streets and next street. What ace high? What equity does it have? What apart from Ace high? ALWAYS look at his whole range and consider how it plays out later on different cards.

you have to think previous streets and next street.

about next street it will be tough anyway. If lets say I c/c flop and he bets again, I will most likely have to fold, especialyy on this turn.

At the same time as you said K is good for me, but I would have really tough time claling 2nd time. He can bluff flop w K high, so thats another thing when I go for c/c. If I cbet - he will fold some Kx.

About ace high - he can have all suited aces so they ight not believe and call. They have little equity, maybe about 30%.

Apart from A high - he will not fold 77+.

So I dont see c/c line easier

In poker you are not looking for easier though, are you? You are looking for most profitable. Whether or not you have to fold on this specific turn is not important when check/calling, because this is one case. Again you need to think of all turns and how his range looks like. Yes, he calls midpairs but then he also folds all his air while if you check he bets a part of his air and if he has a middle pair that checks you still get value on later streets.

If you are thinking about not seeing overcards, that's very results oriented thinking. You need to maximize EV not number of pots won. If losing more pots means you gain more EV, that's what you have to go for. I think checking also makes you win more pots because people don't bluff often enough so it's actually winning more pots and gaining more EV.

I completely agree, but simply I just am in a situation when I dont know waht to do and do my best :)

So from this I understand that I should skip flop cbet with 2nd pairs in 3bet pots and also with weak TPs.

It's not a rule but you do need to NOT cbet some made hands.. I think some TPs and middlepairs make most sense given how easy people let you go to showdown. If you don't do that, what can happen is:

a) you bet everything you raised preflop with and create too weak of a betting range
b) you bet everything that remotely connects so you have overs or better, therefore when you check you always have air and lose money everytime your opponent bets against a missed cbet and cannot represent anything after checking behind.

In order to avoid both, you need to also check some made hands and air, just like you cbet some made hands and air. You only go full exploitative when you know exactly how to exploit that specific opponent over all streets, don't play just flop in a vacuum.

I guess some would say that vs fish I dont need to protect my checking range, but I also feel that fish can notice that I c/f when I check and bet often.

You wouldn't if the fish NEVER bets as a bluff and only bets a range way way better than you can ever have and with a low frequency. That is not the case though, people often bet against a missed cbet and if you always fold, you are already exploited.
