On flop I cbet to fold his equity, but I dont expect him to fold many pairs, for example 6x can call.

So what should I do - not cbet or barrel turn? My hand does not have much equity and if he has 9x, he probably calls it on the turn also. He could fold A high maybe on turn which has not much equity vs me.

Hey S,

Preflop 3bet is big and also marginal given his stack and position. Either 3bet smaller or just call is also fine.

As played, what do you think his range for calling preflop is? I would say check back and give up is the best play. You have few outs, many reverse implied odds and low FE when anthing from 76+ hits the board somehow.

Many Ax, suited boarddways, big ofsuit broadways, all PPs

What many Ax? You have 54 hands. From these we can assume he is wider than average but how wide? What about positional? What about they key pair of stats here which is open and fold vs 3bet? You don't have info on that, you can't make the assumption he calls whatever he opens.

3betting preflop can be OK but doing without a plan behind it will always result in bad spotts. I think 3betting smaller is best here, then calling. 3betting to your size is not good imo, you basically let him play great OOP because he has a short enouhg stack behind to just play flop.

I believe all suited aces. He is loose and I dont think he wants to give up ace without seeing flop.
Then A7o+ I guess he can call.

Positions are makeing him call less wide but I think this range I mentioned can call. He is not thinking that much about positions becuase he is fish.

Why A7o+? What's the difference between A2o and A7o, or A6o and A7o that you draw the line there in his range? If his range is made of A high that folds, pairs that don't or connectors (that have smacked the board) that don't fold, cbetting is not a great idea. You can check to maybe call a bet on the turn or river, give up or run a multiple street bluff. The problem comes when you cannot actually bet 3 streets postflop because he is so short. That's why I keep insisting on too big preflop sizing given his open and his stack size.

he is loose fish. Generally such players do not like to fold.

Its not accurate line, I am just guessing. If he has A2o, that means post flop he has more weaker aces.
And I think some part of A highs can call flop becuase he might not believe me.

He could have more, even if we assume he does we are probably better off playing with a check and bluffcatching.. If Hero and Villain both hit an Ace you own him pretty hard too and if you bet, you don't bluff him off enough hands imo.

The biggest thing imo though is not choosing the right sizing pre... it limits your postflop options, even IP.
