- sometimes your outs are op's outs to catch Full Hous or like this
- sometimes you may lose if Op has better kicker

yup it is a dead sin and I do it sometimes on purpose

Let's just say I'd need a VERY good reason to fold it

Outside of an extreme board situation , i.e. board double paired/4-of-a-kind or something I can't really think of many spots where I'm folding an OESD or FD for one bet on the turn

Even in a limped pot you're still getting 2-1 often with at least your FD/OESD outs, sometimes more and some implied odds for hitting on the river.

But unless the circumstances are extreme folding an OESD/FD on the turn for one bet is going to be terrible the vast majority of the time it's done.

I think with 1-card draws it is relatively common to fold on the turn with a flush draw or an oesd when you have the impression that you could be drawing dead and/or you have reverse implied odds.

Examples:

You: 97s. Board QJTx. Preflop Action: one or more raises, more than one opponent. This kind of oesd is no better than a bad gutshot. You are dead if someone has AK. You definitely have reverse implied odds if you hit.

You: low 1-card flush draw on a 3-flush board with more than 2 opponents. Most likely you are not drawing to the best hand. Sometimes this is playable if the odds are good and if you are able to play cf river when you hit your flush.

the situation im talking about is

HU POT
one raises one calls preflop
bet / calls flop
bet / ?????? on the turn.

you should never in a million years fold an open ender or Flush draw in that spot.

when the board is something like 76x
and you got 89 or 54

and you should also not fold AA preflop very often
