Stars 10/20 Observed Hand...RIVER DONK!!

Assuming they are both regs so they know each other...

its a draw heavy flop so.

1) SB I think it has a Ahi or a low K for doing this, the turn bet/call looks like a not that strong value/cbet, and the river donk looks like I have some value and dont want to give a free showdown to a draw. (edit: also a draw like JT, J9, J9 spades or not)

2) Since BU didn't capped preflop, and given the board, his range on the turn has a lot more draws (flush and straight) and weak made hands (pocketpairs) than Kings or Queens, even if a turn raise could be for value against draws, this is also good spot to bluff against the wide range SB should have to 3bet a BU steal.

3) I think they both know and realise their wide ranges and that SB has some kind of a read for doing the donk on the river, something like "BU doesn't bluff enough on the river" or "doesnt make too thin value bets" cause BU might have bet something like 6s7s to make a a JTs, 9Ts fold.

1)SBs range is wierd... this is most likely not something he does regularly and is most likely not balanced in. My first thinking is that he prolly bluffs quite a bit here . Hands like 78s,79s,8s9s,pockets come to mind an they actually can make a few better hands to fold(like higher busted draws,JT as example...) His value part doesnt really make much sense here. Ax obviously is retarded to donk,Qx pretty much the same since BU is telling he has Kx,Qx or busted draw and Kx should clearly c/r. Still I would say he sometimes has this as well.

2. BUs range like said is busted draws,Kx,Qx. Ax+ is obviously clear cut call. I would acutuallly be triple thinking about calling Jhigh here since I would assume his range is super bluff heavy.

3. Hard to say...since the play as I can see it can hardly be well balanced my default would be to say its bad. However with a hand like 67s I can see it still being profitable sometimes and also portraying your image as more spewy which is always fine...however I doubt it will actually be +EV

Well in the hand the button had 77

The SB had 55

The button I think played his hand 100% fine but the SB might have some 'splaining to do on that one

Since SB ist counterfeited he might try a desperation bluff against a straight draw which has him beat at the river.

Maybe so but pretty sure he shouldn't even be betting 55 there on the turn (unless he's bluffing in which case it's close) and he sure as hell shouldn't be calling a raise if he is.

He's just way too weighted towards value hands if he does unless he's trying to induce a bluff becasue he believes his opponent overbluffs the turn in position which is a possiblility but on this kind of board it's pretty hard

I cant see how this can be valueheavy...no hand just makes sense. To me the hand that he showed is way more likely than anything else.

I meant his turn betting range

His river donking range is obviously BS heavy becasue he wouldn't play any value hand like that unless he wanted to lose money.
