You know that you must use exactly 2 cards from your hand? You didn't have quads, you had pretty much the worst possible starting hand in PLO.

I recorded another session today, which was great. Well actually, it wasnt great in terms of money, but for the coaching tomorrow. Alot of preflop spots where I am unsure, alot of postflop spots, where I am unsure but sure I might have spewed a bit.
The sesion went pretty bad:

The tables werent that superb. I mean, they are fishy, but it seems only the shortys are going broke light postflop. So there are alot of 20bb pots to win, alot of HU pots where you can barrel but overall there are no real whales there.

BUT, I didnt feel that great at the tables. I was playing 6 tables, so had enough time, but it seemed just strange to play. And often I forgot to check the tables if they are still soft, alot of tables broke, and it was kinda stressfull.
I also didnt dare (correct word?) to bluff at all. Thats why the redline dropped.

I dont know what to think of this. I just feel more comfortable at zoom, but maybe I just would have to get used to it.

Anyway, really looking forward to tomorrow for the coaching. Hopefully I will learn alot and hopefully we will find alot of leaks (to increase my edge even more ).

Coaching review

Today I had my private coaching.
We reviewed half of the 20min video of 2tabling zoom.
I often explained my deeper thought process and it was pretty nice.
He gave me document with notes of my game after the coaching.
Leaks have been:
- bet sizing preflop and postflop (I always bet low)
- barreling cards
- thin vbetting (although he says, its already good, but could be improved even more)

His summary:

Overall, i think you have a very solid game, already good enough to be a plo10 winner. Your thought process is top notch, you analyise situations really well, and come by the right solutions on your own almost always, which is very impressive for someone starting out at plo10. You seem to be moving in the right direction and with very big steps, so keep it up!

This makes me very happy as I played alot of spots well where I was so unsure about. I feel more confident right now and just know I will beat PLO10 and pretty sure PLO25 as well (have played that a few times).

I will still wait to take a shot, because I want to reach a goal at least once ♦
Tomorrow I will take another private coaching hour to review the second half of the video, because I am sure it will improve me.

After paying both hours I will need another 12 stacks to take a shot with 50 stacks. Hopefully my rungood continues like the last two days:

yep. Whats even better: Both posted hands happened at the same time (as you can see in the graph. Wasnt even looking at the results, as they didnt matter that much and had to take a break after that to see what just happened ♦

Today I had my second coaching with Skodljivec.
We reviewed the second part of my video. Overall I am once again very happy. One, because we found more leaks and second, because overall my game seems to be solid.

New leaks we discovered:

- Playing too tight with BBBx holdings like AQT4ss and KJT9ss UTG
- 3betting crappy Aces (knew that, just needed confirmation in those spots)
- I once checked back a monotone board, where I should bet
- cbet too few hands in general (especially A^dry boards, low rainbow paired boards)

Summary from Skodljivec (hope thats ok to post it here):

Again a decent all around preformance. Your thought process is way above the avarage plo10 player, so just keep doing what your doing and there's no reason for you not to succeed.

So it was a good investment for me and he is a great coach. Very friendly, adjusting to his student and can explain his thoughts very well. He also lets me explain MY thoughts deeply and is patient with it, which I find extremly important.

Last three days:

I need about 7 more buyins to move up. I am not sure yet how many buyins I will take for the shot. I am thinking about 20 stacks, which means, if I lose 20 stacks, I will drop down to PLO10 and have about 75 stacks left for that limit.
Normally Id shot pretty early and move back down pretty fast, but this time its different. First of all I wanna reach a goal (50 buyins for PLO25) and I think the gap between those limits is pretty big (moneywise, its 2.5x), so regaining those stacks takes longer than on other limits.
Will think about this a bit more. Some opinions from you would be great

The learn process (coming from NLH) in a nutshell:

- watch videos alot, hear "play tight, play super tight OOP, dont overplay Overpairs, go for nutts wraps".
- start playing tight, but only playing wraps, AA** and opening wide on the button
- start opening ranges, getting too loose in the blinds and OOP in general
- not vbetting thin at all postflop
- not able to handread ("he can have like... I mean... like... everything?")
- rewatch videos
- notice one is playing too loose OOP and not playing the real PLO nuts like broadways
- getting experience postflop ("they are calling me down with a naked TP? WTF. Ok lets start vbetting them thinner... oh hey, it works")
- Identifying spots where villains are week
- seeing how extremly strong position can be
- getting more aggressive as villains are often easy to read
- realise one should not feel overconfident
- rewatch videos and think about certain spots to stay focused

yeah kind of this way. It took me a long time. Right now I feel like I have a solid understanding of the game and feel pretty confident. I though know I am far away from beeing able to easily crush PLO100, which is my ultimate goal for the future.
So I will keep on learning, discussing hands and take more coaching lessons.

I reached my goal of 50 stacks for PLO25 and started playing it today:

Let me recap:

First third where everything drops: It was just strange. So many awkward spots. So many strange action from villains where Id never expect it. Many pots where I just had to fold on later streets because of the boardrunout.

Second third was better. I got into the grind and it felt like PLO10. No strong opponents, alot of recreational players, but mostly very aggressive.

Third part was bad. It was bad because I think I played bad. Wasnt too concentrated anymore but wanted to force the breakeven graph to not loose in the first session.
Thats where everything started to drop again. That was just unnecessary.

I am not too happy with the result. But I will stay there for sure and take around 10-20 buyins as a shot, depending on how I feel about my game and the tables.

I also have the 120€ bonus, which I havent activated yet. Just waiting for some more money from other sites.
