what's the point of the river bet? If you are betting for value it's too thin. And as a bluff it's unnecesary. So i would just check behind.

I think i bet the river to get value off some Axxx that are just Top Pairs or off random weaker Two Pairs I can kind of see now that is not that many of them

Yeah it's way too thin. Especially with the straight showing ott. If you had 2 pair with no straight it would be fine vs some opponents. But usually when you bet this thin, you are only getting looked up by better hands.

Hi,

thin value betting means betting with hands that you will often loose with, but not more then 50% of the time. For your value bet to be profitable otr, when your opponent calls you need to be better more then 50% of the time. If you only bet the river with the nuts you'd be better 100%. So when you bet with weak 2 pair, you have to ask yourself what is more likely; villain calls you with a better hand or a worse one.

If the answer is close, then it's a thin valuebet. For example in your hand, a thin river value bet would also be a bet with a hand like A5xx, A4xx. With your hand, i'm worried you are getting looked up by better hands more then 50% of the time you are getting called. Therefore your bet is - EV.

ooooooooooh i thought 'thin' was reffering to the size of the bet, not to the percentage of times is going to win the showdown when called
