Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]SB$14.18:///////;BB$11.99:///////;MP2$7.24:///////;MP3$14.20:///////;CO (Hero)$12.29:///////;BU$4.45:///////;[/tg]

UTG (MP2) is the mark at the table for everyone -- playing 60/0/0 (VPIP/PFR/3B).
MP (MP3) is an aggro donkey playing 38/37/19 -- who is also the mark for me :) along with the Fish. I have been 3-betting him with anything reasonably decent due to his super-wide opening range. He has not played back yet.

Preflop: Hero is CO with A:c, Q:d.
MP2 calls $0.10, MP3 raises to $0.40, Hero raises to $1.10, 3 folds, MP2 calls $1.00, MP3 calls $0.70.

I think we can assume Fish has anything of 2-soots, any pair, any Ace plus broadways and connectors.
The Aggrodonk probably has a PP, a decent Ace or something from hands like KQ/QJ/JT. He may even be getting cute with AA/KK/AK (probably not). In short he has a big hand or does not know what to do with his mediocre-but-playable cards.

Flop: ($3.45) Q:s, 5:h, 3:d (3 players)
MP2 checks, MP3 checks, Hero bets $2.45, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $2.45.

The check-call could still be 22+ (inc. AA/KK) and dominated Qs, with some chance of AK also.

Turn: ($8.35) Q:h (2 players)
MP3 checks, Hero bets $7.95, MP3 calls $7.95.

I figure he is in-for-a-penny here so I pot the board -- and to protect against a possible backdoor flush. I did not notice I was left with 0.79 :-D
Why does the POT button on stars bet 4bb less than pot? Seems to be a regular thang.

River: ($24.25) 9:d (2 players)
MP3 checks, Hero bets $0.79, MP3 folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $24.25.

So the question is -- WTF did he have to fold a 240bb pot on the end for 8bb ??
I always call here -- not just for pot odds but to gain info about what my opp plays with. Its a tiny call in that pot. Bizzare!

Comments of any kind appreciated.

Good fold, you can still get away as you're not getting the right price.

Oh sure I can understand players BLUFFING with air -- but that involves a bet or a raise at some point ROFL -- or are we talking that hugely advanced play the bluff calldown _o:

Seriously tho -- I was experimenting with playing a lot more aggressively in spots where I had decent equity -- so maybe he just wanted to get stubborn with my constant raising BS and force me to risk my whole stack? Trouble is -- he had Jack squat. Keep takin dem pills.
The pot is too big to fold on the Turn, but too small to call on the River? Gotta luvvit!

That seems sensible -- but he has to call with Ace high as there is prob a 3% chance I have a hand like 76hh or KJhh/JThh.

stars automatically deducts rake in between streets. so $7.95 is the pot size after rake :f_eek:
