Steal 64
Ft3B 0 [!!! that's why I 3B so big]
Postflop:

IMO I should have bet bigger every street.
If I bet 4.5 on flop and around 12 on turn I can just shove river w/ less than pot size.
If instead I bet the way I bet, is it ever a bet/fold [river]?
A possible relevant note is that usually xe's passive w/ pairs and trips but donks (potsize) and raises w/ nutFD and straights.
Don't know in 3 bet pots tho.
I wouldn't really know what a raise means here on river according to my notes.

Hi,

I think flop c-bet is fine, I would make similar bet size on the turn, since besides Ax hands, he can always have there Jx, Tx hands that has now very little equity.

On the river you can bet bigger- he would most likely not call Jx, Tx hands and mostly would call Ax, so I would prefer making it 22-32$ (overbets usually seem more bluffy)

best regards,

Would it ever be a bet/fold [river]?

Hi,

After seeing that he would c/c down Ax hands I think b/f river is perfectly fine (although I would expect him to c/r turn more often his straights or boats)

best regards,

personally I think that we should bet a lot on the flop as lots of hands in his range hit something on this flop, lots of gutshots, lots of Tx, Jx. He doesn't fold a lot on the flop so I would bet 4.5 or smth around this sum. Also I would like to bet bigger amount on the flop because we wouldn't like a lot of cards on the turn it would be 9,T,J,Q and even K. On this turn I would bet a lot again smth like 3\4 of the pot as it doesn't matter what size of the bet we choose as he calls only 40% so that means that if he hit his jack or T he wouldn't fold it on this turn and gutshots would fold anyway. And on this blank river would be nice to shove as he may level himself that we are bluffing and we have air and he is good with his jacks here and would call.
I'm really bad at playing in deep stacks and I avoid playing deep, but I wouldn't fold my hand on the river. He would represent only QT and fulls and this are hands that I don't believe my opp would have. On the other hand people don't bluff a lot on the river and lower aces are unlikely as there 3 aces already in game. so I would convince myself that he is bluffing and call :f_p:

if you bet close to pot on the flop, close to pot ont he turn and shove river, then he might easily fold weak Ax hands and only call you down with AQ+
And it is a lot expensive to bluff big on the flop and turn and if you´re going to bet smaller with your air/marginal hands players would most likely play back at you if you don´t have anything.
But against fishes who would call you down always with trips I like your play- hero should get maximum value out of his hand likely against weaker Ax hand.

I don't think that we should balance our game versus fishy players at all and we shouldn't be afraid of being exploited :) If we have nuts than we should value bet it. the second reason is that we don't play too much with players and mostly we would play with this opp only once, he would hnr or he would loose and run away or we wouldn't like to play with him. If in the same spot we would have crappy hand and previously we bet a lot and in this case it doesn't make us to bet a lot again. People don't really notice bet sizing and get reads on them. Well, I don't think that we would bet there with total air at all, anyway we would bet there with gutshots and pairs and on the turn we wouldn't have to bet much as he folds on the turn a lot, so 1\2 on the flop and on the turn would be enough to make him fold his crappy hands. ofcourse everything depends on the opponent as we still don't know his wtsd and AF, so these are really important stats that hero didn't show us. May be villian likes to bet much more than call, who knows?

By the way I am pritty sure that opp would never ever fold his ace and would make hero call as people are really curious ^^ by the way I don't really think that I would shove on the river, I would bet 4.5$ on the flop, on the turn pot would be 14,5 and I would bet smth like 10-11. on the river the pot would be around 35$ and there my decision would depend on how agressive my opponent is, on how much he goes to show down and how he is likely to raise us. if he likes to raise a lot on the river than I would bet smth like 7-8 on the river in order to induce bluffs. if opp is calling too much than I would bet smth like 17 and would hope that he would call with jx.

Usually betting big against fishes are better since they would call us down light (and would almost never fold there Ax hands).
