Setting up a new desktop and wanted opinions on this screen.
I normally play 6 tables on my 16" laptop (1366x768) and want to have the option to play more tables, upto 12 preferably.
The resolution for the monitor is good enough to tile 12 but am a bit worried about the size, hope the tables wont be so small that managing a HUD will be a pain.
I have a 22" monitor -- a Samsung -- that I like a lot.
When I try to do more than 6 I can see the cards and the table fine, it is just that my HUD becomes overwhelming.
If I reduce the font on the HUD, I can no longer see the numbers on the HUD.
Your young eyes might do a better job.
Perhaps if you took your laptop into a store they would let you check it out.

I have a 23 inches screen (1920x1080) and at 6 tables I'm fine. With 12 tables though it's really difiicult to see the HUD since the tables are minimized and the eyes are getting tired really fast.

I'm glad it's not just me.
I figured that the trouble I had with > 6 tables had to do with age.

I have a perfect vision, I see those little numbers that people aren't even supposed to on tests. And no way that 22'' will be enough for 12 tables with HUD.
I can handle 9 comfortably on my 22'' but it takes effort then and increases pauses I take.
23 inch screen (1920x1080) playing 12 tables with small overlap and go up to 16 sometimes...using placemint for managing tables what eases everything alot. also using HEM2 and can see HUD very clearly 
also playing up to 3h on session so it really depends on your adjustments and getting used to what you do.

So I'm thinking what I'll do it go for this monitor for now and play 6 tables. Slowly get used to higher number of tables, move to 8.
Then when I'm ready for more I'll buy another one of the same screen and use dual monitors.
A 30" or 32" monitor will cost a lot more than 2 of these.
Went ahead with the 22" monitor.
I must say I'm able to 12 table comfortably on this monitor with my HUD which has three lines each having 5 stats.
I guess cause of lot of playing time on laptop I don't mind tables in those sizes at all and am finding it quite comfortable.
Later I don't think I'll go for a second monitor, think I'll just upgrade to a bigger one in future if I win too much extra money ;).

2 monitor is useless if u dont play 12+
