I can completely relate to your moving through stakes and site etc. When I read that it was almost like watching you write my poker story! Just you probably frequented the higher limits more than me. NL100 killed me once I never got back.

I really hope you can achieve your goals so there is at least a flicker of hope for me.

First day is over and I did my theorie stuff for day one. But tomorrow I have to wrote my notes in my tablet that I can read them again and again to memorize them. Had not enough time because this day I've been together with my girlfriend for 3 years now, so I had better stuff to do than poker ♦

For those who read my last blog I bought now a new chair. I had huge backache when I sat in front of the computer over 8 hours a day.

The prize was about 400$ but I think it was it worth. Hope my backache is now over.

I also change games a lot, from FR to SH, SH to HU, HU to STSNGs, to 6 max, HUSngs, and MTTs all the time. At least I know a little bit from everything.

Man, do I need one of those chairs. I also suffer a lot from backaches.

How old are you? I was also considering to maybe study medicine, but its such a long study period and from what I know, it one of the hardest. Im already 25 so Im thinking I should choose some proffesion with shorter study lenght.

In two months I am 24, I am not far behind you ♦ I think I will start to study in 2015 when I am 25 years old. So I will be finished with 31 and then have 6 years to work as an assistant docotor. When I'm completeley finished my education I am 37/38 years old and a pretty old guy
But I think this profession will be very exciting and varied. Furthermore I can later easily make my own doctor's office and be my own boss. And that is very important for me because I hate it when I can't do what I like. The psychologist in the military service said I have a "authority" - problem and I could change to the civilian service

I've read now the first 6 chapter from this book.

Don't like it very much until now. Maybe because the first chapters are basic stuff and some things aren't up to date. Some chapter were written in 2009...
But I continue and hope it will be better

Watched now all Videos from w34z3l and the best video was definitely "Evolution of Poker - Street Poker". Can recommend this to everyone!

Now I start my first session and I try to be focused as much as I can. This mean I don't listen to music, don't look at my HM2 and wrote down when I'm unsure how I should play a hand.
In addition to that I will not look in my HM2 until I reached 10k hands. So the results can't influence my game! After 10k hands I will make a bigger review here in my blog to many stats. I think Bogdan made some good videos about review a database. Hope someone can recommend some videos because he made so many

Played my first 2 sessions and marked every hand I was unsure like I mentioned last post. After 1173 hands I marked 47 hands
Lot of theorie to do but today I have no time anymore.

The session last night was weird. A few agro fishes, the regs were maybe crazy and done a lot of overbets and such stuff and because I try to play solid ABC-Poker I folded in the most spots with overbots and weird lines.
Funny thing not to look at my winnings. I really don't know if I'm up or down and this feels good

Only made my theorie stuff after last post. Made some stuff with my girlfriend and enjoyed my life without poker. I think I'm going to review my 47 hands later this evening.

When I watched the videos I noticed 2 things I don't like or they not convinced me. Maybe some of you can write your thoughts about that.

He talks about J :diamond:T isn't a default open for him in UTG.

My opening range is also very tight! Around 9%:

-AQo+
-66+
-67s+

So does he only open 6% from UTG
What do you open from UTG?

2. *Video* ----> 46.30-51.45

He talks about the triple barrel when your opponent hast a weak range. Means on wet boards when the draw don't complete the river or he raises all his value hands like sets.
Make sense... but:

In this spots he calls us often because there are draws han we can have one of them? I mean is the chance that villain herocalls us with second pair not much higher? Or that he shipps his busted flushdraw?

Definitely have to read more about second/triple barrel because I do it very rarely as a bluff ♦
I think my Value/Bluff ratio is there something around 10:1. For sure a leak but it is very hard to recognise it because the third barrel don't happen that often.

Thought I make 1 short session before I go to sleep. Started the tables and they were very good. At every table at least 1 big fish. But then in only 10 minutes it went insane bad
Quittet the tables after only 100 hands. Think this was a good choice because I am a little bit tired and if I had played further this could turn into a tilt session. Tired + bad run is never good ♦
But because I don't know how much I'm exactly down I don't care

Poker since I started this blog

I played only on 888 since I started this blog! This is a success for my circumstances ♦
First I played a very solid game but in the end I started to outplay opponents and make some creative lines etc. This happens everytime I play. But my target is to play a very solid ABC-play over a huge sample. Have to work at it!
I achieved today gold status on 888 (750$ Rake) and this means I have now a big rakeback... 9%
Now I play no more pokerhand this month. Because I made to less theorie and have a lot to learn. In addition to that I have over 70 marked hands to review...
Never checked my results until now Should do that again because so I can focus on my play. Here is the graph from the hands since I started this blog.

Seems I am a BE-Player ♦ But I played now so many hands in my poker career that I don't care about shorttime results. Have improved my game this month and definitely have enough leaks to fix!

Here are the stats. Would be great when someone can say something about them.

Poker in Dezember

I don't know yet what I'm going to play in dezember. Problem is I don't have much time to play and when I play I'm maybe tired or not 100% focused. (why you can read in my private life passage!)
But I know I will rake again >750$ on 888. There are now two options:

- Nl100/Nl50 FR ( Nl100 till I drop under 2.3k$)

- Nl50 SH

Now I tend towards the fullring tables. Because I can play Nl100 and this is the limit I will reach and then grind this limit to make some cashouts. And this is also the limit which I like very much and I made most earnings.

Bought know some hand histories from the Nl100 tables and will check the tables tomorrow. Think that there are still enough bad players and most regs have some obvious leaks.
Problem is that I can play only 6 tables and this means only 300-350 hand per hour. And when I play 6 tables FR this is very boring to grind ♦
Maybe I add another site with 2-4 tables.

Private life next half year

Had now 3 months nothing to do expect play and study poker, play some video game (fifa14, gta5, world of warcraft) and enjoy my life
Was very important for my life balance because before this 3 months I learned a whole year every day very much for my school. For 2 month I worked even as a fulltime job to earn some money. Was very exhausting but now I'm very proud that I've done that.
In this two month I worked 40h/week as an electrician, went 13h/week in school and learned 20-30 hours for the school. So you can imagine that there was no freetime for me, poker or video games ♦

But this 3 months are now over and in dezember I start my civilian service for 6 months.
Here in Switzerland we can choose to go in the military or make civilian service. I was one week in the military but had some problems with my superiors and could change to the civilian service

I will work for 6 months in a psychiatry as a nurse (is this word also for male? ♦) Not my dream job but I will later work as an psychiatrist and so I can some experience in this direction. Definitely I'm glad to do that and don't have to be in the military or something like that!

I will earn each month around 2000$ and hope that I can save around 1500$ per month that I have after 6 month around 30k$ for my medical study

Yes I only played around 7k hands @888 nl50sh. But I have 10k from you and you are marked as a good/loose reg. Don't like when you are at the left side from me My sn is NerdNeedCash but I think we haven't played against each other yet.

how the f do you have 10k hands on me when we never played? datamining site ? if so you should be careful with that, it is against 888's T&C.
anyway gl with your goal, will definatly check this blog every now and then, I crush nl50 pretty hard (like 8bb/100), so I can help you a bit if you post hands etc

Checked out today 24hpoker to find some FR tables. Then I found there anonymous tables. Never heard about them ♦
Opened 4 tables (3 6max/ 1 FR) and watched the action. After 15 minutes watching I find this very intresting tables. Some fishes there and nobody has a HUD or something. They names are at every table "Player X".

There is also 30% rakeback and a 20% FDB. So maybe I give this site a try in dezember. My goal of this blog was first only to play on 888 but this seems very attractive because I can play there anonymous tables without HUD. And I use the it very often and nearly every decision I make on the base of the HUD.
So maybe I can play 50/50 ond 888 and 24hpoker. At the anonymous tables I can play my basic gameplan and focus on my own game.

Tomorrow I decide what I will do. But I could hardly find some videos about anonymous tables Only here some from Nl400 from internet.

Dezember

New month with new goals Decided to try to play 25k hands Nl50 at 888 poker and 10k hands at 24hpoker at the anonymous tables. Think it is better when I don't go back to FR because then I get bored again from poker.
This means I have to play 70h in dezember. This is maybe hard because I start do work 5 days per week and 8 hours a day. In addition to that I will attend to the bootcamp. Don't know what this is exactly but sure it will improve my game with this good coaches.
I will play 20 days with around 3.5 hours so I have 10 day "spare time" to relax and learn stuff from the bootcamp.

The thread is now also opened for application for my coaching. So when you are playing Nl2-Nl10 FR and are motivated to learn something you can write there that you want the coaching from me. *klick*

Actually I wanted to start in dezember also learning for my Numerus Clausus. But because I'm currently pretty motivated to learn poker stuff and the bootcamp is this month I start with learning in january. The test will take place on the 5th of july. Then I have 6 month to learn and I don't even know if I want to start with the medical study in september 14 or a year later in september 15. Presently I tend towards september 15 that I can travel around the world before I begin to study.

Now we have dezember and before I start to play I want to write about two topics.

3bets

I try this month to 3bet more. Try to put so much pressure on villain when I'm in position. A month ago I've done this and then I changed to call more. But I think I'm too bad postflop to make this calls profitable because I don't know which flops I can bluffraise, float etc.
I try also to have in the SB only a 3bet-Strategy. Watched a new video in the german section and there a Nl200 player do this only and it seems to work.

I tried to make my default range from SB/BB versus a steal and write it in a chart. Here is the chart and it would be nice if some of you can write some comments if you think it is good or bad and what I could do better.
I worked it out for 2 Ranges, when someone steals tight (20-30% maybe CO or tight BU range) or when he steals loose (40-50%)

Balancing, GTO and this stuff

Don't care about balancing and GTO until there are very good regs, let's say until I play nl200. This concepts are only good that we know how to exploit our opponents. With balancing we only lose money! At this low limits I should only choose max value line!
Therefore I changed my ranges. I don't call some hands only to protect my range that nobody can exploit my ranges! No one will find this leaks at Nl50 and will exploit me!

First day from the new month is over. Played today 1158 hands and it went pretty bad. That means I am 4 stacks down! But I don't care because I was focused and played a solid game. Because I do now more 3bets, I was often in some spots where I was unsure how to play.

Tomorrow I start with my new job. But when I come home I will go through my 32 marked hands and post some of them in the evaluation forum!

Here a hand vs a loose Reg. He 3bets vs BU steal 12%. I thought I have a A blocker and can bluff4bet him. Don't know much about how regs call 4bets oop.
