Hello,

I'm a graduate computer scientist, who is starting to live from poker. So i moved back to my home town, and learning/playing while i get a great a bankroll.
I played more than 3years poker, but the last year i improved a lot. So now i play NL50 zoom, and normal games up to NL100. I have a blog on the hungarian forums NL50/100 SH LifeStyle.

My challenge for the next 2 months is getting to Supernova. I need 60k VPPs in 2 months, so i have to play a lot. Last month i played 150k+ hands.

So here is my side challenge: I will play 200k hand this month on NL50 and if i have the BR for NL100 zoom i go up, just 4tabling. This means around 6-7 hour of play every day.
I have a rule, i don't look at the results only on 15th of November and i decide if i can go up to NL100. If i go up, i have to track the results, so i can step down if needed :)

Today i'm around 7k hands, 1 session left.

GL HF ya all!

Welcome to EN scrazy and good luck in your marathon!

200k hands is a lot but I'm sure you can add 50k more from last month!

All the best and look forward to your updates.

Gary

Hello

I registered around 30+ MTTs yesterday. In the morning in my city they took the current for around 5hours...so i just get busted on those MTTs.

In the afternoon i think i played well. Tried to play a lot of postflop with these guys, but when it came to AIs variance wasn't with me ;) (so like AA < 88 150bb, and so on)
Total profit: -220$.

I think its ok. I can't control the cards (really can't? WTF? :P), and ofc i'm a beginner in MTTs.
So back to the schedule for the rest of the month!

(Edit: Nice hand sir XD)

That's ok HollyMichelle, sorry for u2 having a bad day. But MTT is high variance (poker too :P) so my thinking is just do it and be happy about your decisions or learn from your mistakes and it will be good

I decided i will post here some quick handreviews of bigger pots in daily sessions. So you guys can comment on them, and i can review them if i want in a pretty nice and structured manner.

Today i procrastinated a little...but from tomorrow i keep up the volume and stick to the schedule.

1.hand

Villain is a not to good reg, capable of slowplaying pre (esp in this situation with the short fish). So i decide to just x/f flop i can't really fold out too much combos here (he will not call with small PPs pre cause of the fish..., he maybe will float 2over+BDFD, or he got a pair which is never folding) After turn just go with the hand, i really dont want to x/c, so i think bet is the best option. River is a clear vbet against his range, i don't know if i can maybe use bigger size or its ok...

$0.25/$0.5 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BU$70.90:///////;SB$26.07:///////;BB (Hero)$51.77:///////;MP2$169.72:///////;MP3$53.61:///////;CO$17.68:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with A:s, K:s.
MP2 folds, MP3 raises to $1.50, CO calls $1.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to $5.50, MP3 calls $4.00, CO folds.

Flop: ($12.75) 5:s, 7:c, J:d (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 checks.

Turn: ($12.75) J:s (2 players)
Hero bets $6.00, MP3 calls $6.00.

River: ($24.75) 7:s (2 players)
Hero bets $10.00, MP3 calls $10.00.

Final Pot: $44.75.
Results follow:

MP3 shows two pairs, kings and jacks(K:h K:d).
Hero shows a flush, ace high(A:s K:s).

Hero wins with a flush, ace high(A:s K:s).

2.hand

I think its an easy 3barrel with this hands on almost any runouts. He's range is capped after turn x/c to 77+, and some 66(3), 99(3), slowplayed AA/KK(50%->6) + i block AA, so maybe he can call profitably around 12 combos and foldout 77,88,TT,JJ,QQ(50%) -> 27 combos. I think my 3barrel range here is QQ+ + some FD's (AorKhigh). But on this river i don't really have any bluff :P Maybe i can spike in some 78s

$0.25/$0.5 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BU (Hero)$50.00:///////;SB$17.77:///////;BB$51.54:///////;MP2$51.89:///////;MP3$28.22:///////;CO$50.00:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BU with 8:h, A:h.
2 folds, CO raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $4.25, 2 folds, CO calls $2.75.

Flop: ($9.25) 3:s, 6:h, 3:h (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $5.00, CO calls $5.00.

Turn: ($19.25) 9:d (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $10.00, CO calls $10.00.

River: ($39.25) 4:h (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $30.75(All-In), CO folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $39.25.

Yep, MTT variance is pretty sick. Would love to comment on your hands but I'm a complete cash game fish

1. hand INTERESTING

Sick hand :) Villain is x/r around 15%, but my assumption is that he's not x/r TP, so the turn is not so bad card for us? On the river i think he x's with his busted draws and i can bluff him off. Interesting x/push by him. I think i just can fold on the turn most of the time, cause of the sizeings (big flop, smaller turn...suspicious):)

$0.25/$0.5 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BU (Hero)$67.67:///////;SB$119.65:///////;BB$68.27:///////;MP2$50.00:///////;MP3$65.16:///////;CO$50.40:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BU with Q:h, T:c.
3 folds, Hero raises to $1.00, SB folds, BB calls $0.50.

Flop: ($2.25) 9:h, 2:c, J:h (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, BB raises to $5.50, Hero calls $4.00.

Turn: ($13.25) J:d (2 players)
BB bets $8.00, Hero calls $8.00.

River: ($29.25) 7:s (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $14.00, BB raises to $53.77, Hero folds, BB gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $43.25.

I saw that i have to post proof of hands...so i just post a graph (till breaking my rule). I'm a little bit dissapointed with the volume, but nowadays i got some inner fire to improve my game, and can't stop watchin videos, reading books, analysing hands...so i just try to keep up with the volume(still 5-8 sessions a day), and improve my game when i feel like.

Spoiler

So i'm just thinking about only 2tabling for a while / improve my game. Sadly then it will be a hard rush for supernova :P

Yes, it will be great :) Thank you for the kind words.
I think i feel a little bit of burnout...i just can't get up early as usually, and when i need to play a lot i just can't do it...:) (maybe cause i'm doing this 8+ hours a day for the last 40days...)

So i just rested a lot this week. Now i think, i feel more better :) I will try to fill out a spreadsheet like this everyday, so i can track how i waste time, what my weaknesses are, and to fight laziness maybe.

I set up my other computer as a grinding station, cause there i have 2 monitors of 24 inch, and maybe i'm going to play little bit more normal games then zoom, its just more relaxing :)
I found out, i should enjoy the process not just rush to my goals.

Today results:

Recovery (Sleep & Fun)
I want this to be a total of max 9 hours/day.
Night sleep 8 hours. Afternoon sleep 3 hours.
Sleeping too much :P

-Breakfast

-Watched & noted videos:
I just watched for fun some WCGRider SSNL to MSNL
-Exercises:
Sweat session with a friend.
-RegAnalysis:NO
-HandAnalysis:
Analysed most of the hands from today sessions, mostly in head after session.

2. Results

Focus: 3/10
Variance(negative-positive): 5/10, I run pretty ok.
Game: B
Profit: -80$

(I got my graph in the other comp and i lazy to put it up...)
I played somewhat bad today, just can't really focus...

4. Other stuff

My main strengths in poker:
-I'm pretty good in handreading
-I'm very good in math
-I'm mostly try to be aware of my own ranges

My main weaknesses in poker:
-I loose focus really fast
-Sometimes i find myself just clicking buttons without thinking
-Acting too fast

These are pretty big leaks...so i really need to do something about it.
So how i should solve them? any ideas?

-Firstly i try to use a mindfullness bell for focus( http://fungie.info/bell/ ).
-Before every decision i make sure i wait at least 5 seconds (if my time bank lets it..)

Other Tasks or Anything

1. Today was the 1st round of Chess World Cup Champioship :) It was pretty interesting, but ended in a fast draw.

2. I have a 3month dog and i train with him every day. So today i did that too.
