I am totally not good at donking. I really don't have that move in my game. I have to apply it my game somehow. Maybe this donking is good and you are right when you say he might call with high overcards. To bad you don't have silver status. That question would be great for our professional judges.

preflop: agree with your thoughts
flop: i don't really hate the donk under the assumption that he won't cbet often, but it's mostly a bet just to take down the dead money. i doubt you can valuebet the turn again once you get called, just check it down and hope to win against overcards and 44-66.

some things to consider:
- what is your plan against a raise?
- what about donking smaller (sizing optimization, range manipulation)?
- what is the cbet sample? 0/1, 0/2? don't you think his cbet frequency in this specific board and positions could be higher than usual anyway?

I don´t mind leading if board would be 256, but with 223 he might easily bluffraise you, which would put you difficult situations postflop.
So most likely I would just c/c and plan calling him down.
If you want to lead to protect your hand, then more reasonable line seems c/c flop, leading low turn cards and c/c on high turn cards.

Since he should c-bet most air you´re generally just loosing value if you lead yourself and putting sometimes difficult spot if he decides to play back.
