Hello english community!
I'm not a native english speaker, but I hope you'll be able to understand atleast something.
I'm 18 year old guy from finland who wants to play poker for a living someday. By playing poker for a living I would be able to be my own boss, make my own working schedule and really enjoy life. I'm still in high school and to be honest I'm not really happy about it. I feel like I don't have any actual goals in terms of education and that is why my motivation towards school is quite low at the moment. I've decided to finish it anyway so I can keep my options open. Would be awesome to finish high school with decent degrees, play poker professionally for atleast some time and then decide what to do next with my life. I am pretty excited about the future but I have to work hard so I can create a life that I really want to live. Enjoying this moment and being grateful about things that I have right now is also really important. Having plans for the future and working for those goals AND enjoying this moment are both really important things and keeping those two things in balance is the key of happiness in my opinion. Easier said than done. ![]()
I'm playing NL20 at the moment and wow, games at microgaming are just super soft. I'm confident about my game and I'm definitely winning at NL20. My short-term goal is to move up NL50 as soon as possible. In order to reach that goal I've decided to play atleast two one-hour sessions everyday, watch one coaching video everyday and update this blog every day. Two hours in a day is not that much for some people, but I've realized that setting too hard goals is not really good thing. I've tried to play 3-4 hours daily in the past but that hasn't worked really well most of the time. I've changed my approach and decided to set slighty smaller and easier tasks at first. Once I've managed to do these relatively easy tasks for some time, I will start to play three hours and so on. Final goal is to play like 4-5 hours in a day, which is not even that bad if you think about it.
That's about it, I will start daily posting tomorrow. Feel free to ask questions and discuss about things, I'm open for any discussion. I'm more than ready to improve in any area!
