this might be one of those spots where i should donk turn. also 3bet pre is definitely an option since he has high fold to 3bet

Hi legand73

Preflop: given his RFI is lower and fold to 3-bet higher I'd add some of these suited aces to our 3-bet range.

Postflop: You could donk the turn but I think the value would be limited and we'd hate to be raised. If I remember correctly the other spots I don't think this one is that similar since the info here is not as abundant and villains range is not as wide.

As played I'd bet bigger on the river, at least $1. Anything that checked turn to pot control calls river anyway. Anyting that checked to fold folds anyway.

I mustn't have been paying much attention to stats because I quite like having low Axs hands like this in my 3bet range and same with connectors like the 65s hand i also posted, I normally would relish the opportunity to 3bet them so i must have been on autopilot.

It wouldn't be that terrible if we got raised would it, i mean it does depend on the sizing but we do have top pair albeit a crap kicker and NFD.

I felt that with a small bet we could even get some calls from 9x and maybe even 7x that would fold otherwise

9x/7x check behind and can call that small bet on the river too right? Unless the river is really ugly so you have a point there.

Getting raised does suck because if it's too big we can't really call and we are bloating the pot OOP with generally a worse hand.

But I do think that a small donk, let's say 1/2 pot can achieve quite a bit vs a nitty guy.
