Hello,

villain is a shorty. Should I just shove the turn myself as protection vs draws?

Hello,

Preflop is good. Flop is good. Turn cbet is also good. When you get raised, I don't think villain ever really has any draws here, as I would expect him to just call his draws again instead of raising them. Hence, I tend to think this probably is a bet/fold on the turn, unless you think villain is capable of bluff raising something like A6 on the turn, in which case I would simply call the turn and call any river.
