Free tracking software(?)

It might hep people to give you advice if you're a little more specific as to the game type you will play.

Making the assumption you will play no limit holdem, I suggest you download the Pokerstrategy Equilab from our poker tools page, it's free and the link to it is here:

Others may be more informative about other software.

Google it and you will find at least something. Sadly however, free software most often comes with millions of bugs and little support.

There's always the free trial (30 days I think) for HM2 and PT4. Or - not recommended - tou can accept a "free tracking software deal (PT4 or HM2)". The drawback with the latter is that you are forced to play and rake about $200 000 at some particular site with no future rakeback (or PS pooints or whatever).

Equilab is not a tracking software!

Thanks, Yohan, I couldn't have put it better myself.

If you play Holdem or Omaha, the commercial tools are so far and away better than anything else available that it is easily worth the money.

I would suggest though, that if you are just starting out that you wait a bit, read the introductory videos, watch the introductory articles (or vice versa) and participate in the beginner coachings.

Once you have a handle on the basics of the game, run the trials, take your pick and lay out your money.

A good place to start is to go through the articles entitled No Limit Beginner's Course

u should try fpdb (sileekhunt posted link)

its free, multiplatform and it works
it is a bit more ehm "clumsy" then HEM or PT but it does its job imo

you only have to rake about 1000 points on ipoker for PT4.

I got my HEM2 licence playing 2NL on Everest

Holdem Manager or Poker Tracker 3 are the best tracking software

It has bugs, but for a free program it was very good!

I used the free 30 day trials on both . I only decided to go with PT4 because it was the more recent trial.

Both are excellent pieces of software.

Btw, when you get a chance, why don't you Introduce yourself!

check ur ram status and select accordingly if u have a slow pc Hem2 will freeze it like hell ♦

fixed your post. PokerTracker 3 will reach it's end of life in 20 days, it is no longer sold or supported as of July 31st.

I recommend for PokerTracker and LeakBuster for tracking your game. Both of them have free trial version.
