how big must be "longterm" to determine winning player?

I am winning at zoom25 after 60k hands, not such a big sample though..

I got about the same sample size and also winning at nl25/50.

There are loads of regs playing over a thousand hands an hour at zoom. They rae playing 120k plus a month.
But let's just underestimate, and say 60k hands a month, for six months or more.

I'm sorry I don't have 60k, it's 54k hands, I forgot that there were some iPoker hands in there. For that 54k hands I'm at 3,4bb/100.

35k hands on nl25 zoom
19k hands on nl50 zoom

Hello mate, personally I believe Zoom is a grenade. If you are not careful enough you'll end up blowing up. I started playing NL2 FR Zoom in pokerstars over a month ago and I can't say I've done bad. Started with 20$, peaked at 215$ (playing NL5) and now I'm down to $180, but been thinking if I should play regular cash tables or stick to Zoom. This is my blog thread with some graphs:

Zoom is very hard in my opinion due to the amount of hands you play, you certainly can win a lot but you can lose a lot as well. You have to focus a lot mate to keep your A-game, you play a 1k hands session if you get a bad beat in the first hundred hands and you can't control your tilt or set a stop loss limit you are gonna lose your bankroll in a wink. (Trust me I lost 40 bucks in 2 days controling my tilt and losing a maximun of 2 BI per session).

So my personal recommendation would be to give it a try if you feel it's too tricky stick to cash tables. If you don't have discipline stay away from Zoom.

In fact I suggest putting the link in your signature.

As for zoom, I notice that players on zoom are tighter than I would expect.
A few are more aggressive than you would expect.

The trick is sorting them out.

Since you can't win by out-nitting a nit, you need pick a middle road.

I suggest starting by stealing wider.
This seems to work up to about NL 10 (at least for me).

Winning at nl25 losing at nl50. Over 100k sample from both.

What do you find villains are showing up with? And what stake is that at?

I'm asking as I rarely get AI PF, as villains are so tight. Usually I only manage to get AI when they show up with Aces.

I have a coach and im working on my game, so hopefully the next 50k+ hands i'll be able to show some dolla'z!

As to getting AI preflop,
It does really depend on who you're opponent is. If you raise UTG then i'm only going broke with aces unless it's some manic or short stack.
If they have a 3bet of >3% or under then only AA.

What limit are you playing right now?

I just call AA and KK, but stopped QQ as villains at zoom seem to just shove super tight. I would shove lighter if I had enough history on a maniac, but history is scarce on zoom, v rec players.

I have dropped down to nl10 and trying to really suss out zoom, sometimes just playing one table. It plays very different to regular tables. I have sharkscoped some regs who were 4 tabling, and haven't really found a winning player.

I agree. I have watched vids of nl100 and it seems more "normal", than the "min donk every street with a monster", never go AI PF, you see at nl10.
