nl50 - KQo, postflop play

Hey Bobjohn,

Preflop call is fine here especially vs wide CO rfi.

Flop x/r is fine, especially vs opponent with high cbet. (The downside is he doesn't appear to be folding much to raises.

Turn is fine.

River is a little thin. Not sure if villain is calling with worse. Seeing as we spike our king x/f is likely fine. I expect a lot of villains calling range on flop to be pair+draw type stuff that he is unlikely to turn into a bluff on river which makes it a lot easier to safely x/f.

@OP - tbh I prefer taking it with the K :diamond:.

@ w34z3l - Aren't we going to get called a bunch of times though with weaker holdings since all draws missed?

I'm not really sure how all draws missing is going to help us to get called here. I'm assuming he's folding most of his T8,JT,KT type stuff which is the problem. Villain will fold pretty frequently to our bet and when he does call we'll likely be beat.

That wtsd value is over 7.9k hands, indicating he is somewhat station. So wouldn't it be better to just give up on flop when he rarely folds anything?

Fair point. The guy has a wide rfi CO and a high cbet though. Can we really just go around folding overs + gutshot? If not x/r then x/c imo.

I believe the x/r flop is fine especially gto. Raise 31 Co and 72 cbet means it's even better. When he calls flop i would just x/f turn. I believe range changes a lot after he bet/calls flop and it's either x/r bet shove or x/r-x/f turn. Also I would like to mention that very often it will go x-x and we see free card. Then we can easily value bet river K and T and if wtsd so high i believe even Q although thinly but i would still bet it with that line.

X/f turn is probably ok actually. It's not a good barrel card - but then again there are no decent barrel cards apart from hitting our straight.

However I do think opponent is going to be 3betting flop with premium holdings so we may have a profitable 3barrel bluff on blank rivers.
