2NL 6max zoom ATs in SB facing a button raise

Hi,

You should really have some sort of a strategy for your blind play. For instance, this thread has some sort of ranges for calling versus a steal.

As a default I'd be calling this hand. I could 3-bet some worse Axs here.

Imo folding here is pretty bad. As a default ATs is a 3b sb v btn for me

Got to ask: why to 3-bet this hand? If we assume someone raises like at least 35 % from the button, but continues with appr. 10 % range versus 3-bet, we should just call to keep his range wide. This hand is after all quite strong from these positions

At nl2 calling might be better. But once we get to nl25+ maybe even nl10 I don't think having a calling range sb v 3x btn open is a great option. You'll be oop with a lower spr, have very aggressive squeezers and guys are opening wider on btn + defending more so ATs is an easy value 3b.

In nl2 fast fold you still get guys opening 50%+ so against them I still think we can 3b for value. Fwiw against a 2x open its a snap call and a 2.5x open it becomes super close.

This is based on my experiences and database analysis of my own game (showing a much greater profit 3betting than calling).
