Yo!

A 21 year old poker player from Finland reporting in! We just started a study group with a few other pokerstrategists playing nl50-100 zoom. That motivated me in starting my own blog aswell :) I have been playing nl50 zoom for a little while now. Few nl100 shots along the way, but after taking a break for a while I had to cashout a few K's, and drop back down to nl50.

Gonna track here my progres in beating the current limit and courage myself in getting better at this game to beat the next. I have to say a huge thank you to all the other guys in the studygroup. Talking to you guys about strategy motivates me alot.

here are the last 100k:ish hands from nl50 zoom:

lets hope that after another 100k hands i'll be at nl100 ;)

Theres quite alot of pokerstrategists in nl50 zoom so I will hopefully be analyzing interesting handhistorys here :) best of luck to you all on the tables! (just dont run good against me ok :p)

Hi there veini and welcome to blogging!

I found talking strategy with others highly motivating as well, not just informative. It just gets me wanting to do better than the others!

However, having said that, I have seen some of the names on the list of your group, so I'm at present glad I'm not at nl50 yet. :f_eek:

You have a great time eating those nl50 regs and we'll see you posting nl100 graphs real quick I have no doubt at all. _cool:

Run good and have fun(subbed for definite)

Mal.

Thanks Gadget for the warm welcome.

I normally play 4 tables, but today I experimented 2 tabling and trying to exploit the bad regs at the tables. It must be good for ones game to sometimes sit down and start thinking more deeply in each spot while in game.

Hands per hour rates were very low today, but to compensate my winrate was better then normal :)

Some hands:

1) Utg is a reg while Bu being a fish. I cant really raise the turn as I am going to be so face up. thinking about it again I would prefer an half pot donk on the river. Funny that we get the best ev By tank calling the river with nutz as the reg is never calling my shove and might level a call with Ak from time to time.

2) This one being a bit deeper:

The reg squeezing was supposed to be solid. I just dont understand hes river c/r as he is not repping anything here. I would have a hard time folding any valuebets vs the river raise.

goldenbode: Yeah I checked your blog too, good stuff ;) theres always room for another shark at the nl50 zoom ;)

varune: Yeah I am pretty sure I know you screen name ;) anyways you seem like one of the better regs at the tables :)
The reason why the post was deleted was that we closed the group as we now have a small and motivated pack of regs. I am sorry but we have had to discline a few others also and want to keep this group locked for now. Big studygroups often die out faster then smaller ones, hope you undestand :)

Thanks for the support guys! Mean alot to notice that people are reading my blog! I will aim to keep this entertaining :)

Poker: For me poker was in the begining about winning money and I was too results oriented. I looked at the cashier between sessions/ got a feeling of pleasure while looking at a graph during a set etc.. This all is bullshit! The graph isnt the thing that makes you the money, neither does it get you laid: Its just cosmetics. Therefor I advice every cashgame player not to look at your graphs/ cashier balances every second you play.

The mentality that one should take towards poker/winnings is that the result doesn't mater. The thing that maters is what you do before variance takes the role ( going all in on the turn and so on..) You need to play every situation a little bit better then the other guy. This is all that is needed!

Playing every 10th hand making 1bb better decisions then villians makes you a 10bb/100 winner! Sounds small eh? Well doing this at nl100 gives you a hourly of 100$ while 4 tabling. When playing with the attitude that the results dont matter after you have done what is done, I personally need atleast 100bi.

On the other hand... My poker "career" is hopefully at its beginning and I am in a situation where maybe taking some risks could conclude to even a better result. Staying in the comfy-zone might slow down my
progress a bit too much. So to summarize my thoughts, I am going to keep on playing nl100 and try to achieve a 100bi bankroll asap. I am most likely going to 2 table nl100 zoom and work on my game.

----------------------------------------

The nl100 shot:

The first two graphs I have put here are nice and steady upswing_brag graphs. My blog is not going to be only about the good sides of my game. Here is the graph for the shot at nl100 I had.

The postive side: I already grinded 11 buyins back at nl50 for another shot!
This time I will be staying at nl100 a bit longer and taking atleast a 10 buyin shot. second time the charm? ;)

If there is anyone playing nl100 zoom here. I would love to exchange ideas/sweat/show my own game. Feel free to add me on skype :)

This song makes me happy:

Thanks frankie! I dont know what you did but please do it again hit a heater winning 1k yesterday from nl100!

Today the deck is a little cold for me, but its okay since yesterday I was in such a beast mode variance wise and playing A-game! Nl100 seems beatable: the regs are a little better compared to nl50, but to compensate that I have encounterd so silly fish at the tables...

Here are a few hands:

if you have anything to ask, please do :)
