Quick answer:
Yes.

Long answer:
It depends. This is so much of an individual preference. A HUGE amount depends on WHAT music.

For me, I play without.
If it is music I really like, I listen to music, and don't pay enough attention to poker.
If I hate it, I get angry, and tilt faster.
If I'm neutral to the music, why even bother?

That's a great thread indeed, definitely worth checking out.

Personally, I always play with music. It actually helps me focus more than just being in a completely silent room. However, there are also a lot of people who do better without the music. If I recall from the thread tony linked, the majority of people will be better off playing without music.

In the end it's all up to your personal preference though. You should try out playing some sessions with music and some sessions without music and see what works best for you.

For me it completely depends on my mood at that point in time

Also, if there are more disturbing noises going on, music will take my attention from that disturbance by drowning it out
