NL100 AK Speed

Since we are on the SB I don't really see any better options. If we were IP I think we should be flatting AK versus such a tight opening range.

I don't like the min 5bet. Versus a 22bb 4bet I think we should be shoving, even when slightly deep. We should get enough folds that AK is a marginal EV+ shove.

Against a tight range like that I don't like 3-betting, even from the SB. Given a squeeze opportunity I will do that semi-wide, but when nobody else has entered the pot I like calling my entire range.
Since villain is so tight I'm defending very tight anyway so I'm not afraid of the BB squeezing. The only downside is that we're gonna have to play multiway pots sometimes. But BB's range is usually gonna be capped in SR pots. And he might decide to squeeze AQo and other Ax hands.

1) if you shove 5bet, vilian has 41% pot odds, so he should fold QQ, AK especially accounting rake. He might even not 4bet those. So shoving AK would be our best bluff blocker hand in that case

2) you 5bet min or your size, and this way you can have bluff range with blockers with witch you are not comitted vs shove. Villian can make mistake vs that by calling wide, shoving wide, folding too much. When you direct shove, he has easy decision, thats why i would play as you did assuming that villian is not value heavy with 4bet.

This might be okayish for 117bbs deep. For 100bbs deep I think we should not have a min 5bet range versus a 4bet of 22bbs. 5bet/folding 36bbs seems to me really sketchy. So for bluff range we should be shoving some PPs and fold the blocker hands.

Yes, i meant this for 118bb and deeper. 4bet size was also on smaller side which allows min 5bet.

For 100bb if 5bet min, we are comitted with our bluffs, so it can be seen as direct shove because you never fold, and thats why it makes only sense to shove.

Alternative when playing 118bb is to call 4bet, but oop i do it only if i know that villian has leaks postflop

Yeah, calling 4bet in this spot OOP seems really though, even if the 4bet is small.

Either way, in practice against a nit we will not be 5betting bluffing at all probably, unless we have the read that he indeed is capable of 4bet/folding this spot.
