When you play such a big pot (you 4betted), draws loose some value so you should be less worried about them even considering his 3betting range.

So, are you cbetting 4value or in bluff? You could be cbetting 4value trying to get some value by some 2nd pair type hands or some draws, but of course you're not cbetting in bluff since you'll never get a better hands to fold. And ofcourse you have 2nd pair, a lot of SD value, so you don't want to bluff weaker hands out of the pot. Checking back and waiting to take a new solution is certainly the best thing to do here
