NL 100 A5 bluffs catch

Gto-wise A5 and A6 would be one of the best bluff catchers as they block plenty of
Ax and straights, and doesnt block bluffs. So vs balanced or bluff heavy guy you have +ev call.

Because you can hardly see very balanced player in nl100, imo it is more important to conclude if he bluffs enough on Axx board bvb by looking at his river agression, or if no sample then population reads.
I would say nl100 stars regs are almost not bluffing at all on such a board. Also not even thin value betting with AT, AJ. This guy cbets river only 40%, so it looks in general he doesnt bluff much.
So i would fold.

Based on his stats this is a tough spot. This hand is pretty high up my range, as u mentioned your lther AX bluffcatchers w stronger kickers are actually weaker due to blockers

Your sample is large and 40% is really low. Ill probably fold reluctantly but its close.

Thanks for replies guys. I have recently started to look at spots in GTO way. So what's the bottom of calling here vs unk reg on some higher limit? and which Ace would you call as bottom vs this guy on NL100?

I think those questions depends a lot on how you play your ranges earlier on and what range you end up with on the river. Without knowing that range, it's pointless giving an answer.

For some ranges, calling all Aces would be fine, but for others we'd need to call all Aces, most queens and most 8:hx:h

If we concluded this guy doesnt bluff enough then you fold whole range, unless you have some 2pair+.
In nl100 i would fold similar ad vs this guy because people dont bluff Axx. If on river comes any scare card then they are more likely to bluff, many are bluff heavy then. Especially on dry boards people are value heavy because they simply bluff on turn only draws.

Vs optimal player you can call all Ax because they have best blockers, and fold rest. Turn you flat Ax and best 2nd pairs and draws.

I think in this case our reads/stats are pretty strong so approaching it with the old exploitative approach is probably best.

Put him on a range, and check our pot odds against that range.

A lot of other times, our reads are not so concrete so the other way to go about this is to guess the GTO approximation strategy, then make some small adjustments to it based on whether you think that guy is playing tighter/looser than optimal
