hi,
CO is a laggy reg ( ~25/19, wider with bigStack) , BU is a solidREG ( ~19/16).

Payouts: 5th was ~600$, 4th ~900$.
I check it in ICMizer and it shows (with different ranges CO/BU) ~TT+AQ+ or JJ+AK.

With the ICM in mind what should by our range here with only ~4bb?
We should play here wider (how wide?) than ICMizer shows ?
In which conditions we should skip the ICM consideration?

Hi,

Consider your reads and since there are not really any other shortstacks I think with 4bb 99 should be easy call. Co is not always going to call BU shove and you don´t really have not fold equity if you fold there 99. So I would rather get all-in, sometimes being ahead and often flipping.

best regards,

Hi all,

There are a couple considerations here as to why we should or should not trust the output ICMizer gives us. When CO raises here, he will do this with a very wide range. He is the clear chipleader and he is loose anyway. When BU shoves for 11bb, ICMizer assumes CO will call very wide. However, CO has a lot of raise/fold hands here actually. When CO makes the call, he is often going to have <38% equity against BU's range as well. If we fold, ICMizer assumes BB will call some hands, however actually he will be extremely tight here as well. Therefore, we must call wider than ICMizer tells us here, as folding will rarely result in us laddering up the payscale. I would call 88 too here.
