What's the best way to play this hand against unknown villain?

Hey Joey1toe,

Preflop 4b squeeze is fine here.

When the A hits on the flop probably not a good idea to cbet. We should check - potentially call a small bet, but possibly fold outright to a large bet. This wasn't the flop we were looking for.

What range do you put SB on given the preflop action? I'd say if he's bad then he can have most pps (setmining with poor odds) but he's gonna have high pps and decent Ax hands most of the time here. All pps that didn't make a set fold to your flop bet. All Ax hands have you beat. So your flop bet achieves nothing. As w34z567 says, check back flop and call small turn bets. If villain has a set or decent A then he's probably gonna bomb the turn so you can fold to a large bet. If villain checks turn then you can be fairly confident that you have the best hand bet for value (from TT-JJ and Qx mainly).
