A7s with trips against 2 villains

Stats on villains are really important for this situation. If MP2 doesn't have a high VPIP then I would c/f this river. He is going to show a better Ax hand a lot of the time and after BTN calls it is a clear fold to me. If MP2 checks and BTN shoves then I would call as I have seen a lot of players make plays like this when they have pocket pairs and the board has paired. Players on these limits will shove all-in to bluff bet the river on a missed draw, they would not bet half-pot. Tough hand and I woulnd't beat yourself up for playing it the way you did.

I think you played good until the river. If one guy would shove and the other folds - I would snap call, but since they both got all in, seems that your A is not so strong here. There's also an option to check on the turn, and take a look what they are going to do, that way you might be able to fold much easier on the river, if they bet the turn.

+1 with this. Up to the river is fine. On the river against the two players I prefer to make a tight fold. I also think often one of them got stronger ace or better.
