Hi guys,
I was playing live tournament poker and I'm not sure that I was playing it good.
Blinds: 100/200
Participants (9 people):
BU: A♣K♠ (not sure about the suit of the king, it wasn't a club)
BB: A♥J♠ (not sure about the suit of either, they weren't clubs for sure)
Me before CO: K♣7♣
Preflop:
- UTG limps
- I wanted to raise because the table was a bit tight, the single 1000 chip touched the table before I said raise, so my raise was discarded
- BU limps
- BB raises to 1200
- I call
- BU calls
Flop: Q♣K♦9♣
- BU raises to ~2500 (I don't remember the exact raise, it was between 2K - 3K)
- I go all-in with ~4000
- BU goes all in with ~5000
- BB calls (I don't know if he was all-in or not)
BB was raising very inconsistently throughout the game, BU was a good player sometimes slow playing (like now). I was thinking about the game and I think I would do the same on the flop but I'm not sure about the preflop action. Obviously, I made a mistake there initially to put down the chip and say raise, but I maybe I shouldn't have called after that. The BB knew I was going to raise but made a mistake.
The next two streets: 10:diamond:8♥ so BB won with straight
What do you think? Is it simply fold preflop?
Thanks,
