Hello,

The player opening is a loose-aggro fishy player(38/23 over 300+h). I have been 3betting him since he is opening alot and I have never seen him 4bet, he mostly likes to call the 3bets IP/or OOP doesn't matter for him. Here I chose to make a small 3bet which is what I do with hands that are not necessarily a good flat IP and also to avoid a squeeze from the aggressive blinds+ gain initiative post.
However he 4bets and I obviously have to fold. Is the 3bet/fold vs this type of player is good idea or its better to call a somewhat playable hand and avoid 4bets? (like KJ, KQ ATo QJ?)

MP: 45,426 (28.4 bb)

Hero (BTN): 50,737 (31.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with J K
MP raises to 3,200, CO folds, Hero raises to 7,050, 2 folds, MP raises to 45,251 and is all-in, Hero folds

Hi,

If you had no history then 3-bet/fold is perfectly fine option but with your history I think call is a lot better option. Usually they are making stand at some point and no point 3-betting good hand which you can´t call shove.
Also if you raise on Jxx board, he would very likely not believe you and get all-in very lightly.
Also being ip would allow you to float him being ip and often take pot down on the turn or river

Hi all,

I always 3bet the fish here. Sucks that he chose to take a stand this time but our hand is not really that strong in a single raised multiway pot that it becomes a crime.
