Preflop defend is ok, never a great spot at these limits though.
Flop is fine.
Turn is fine. We can also consider x/jamming and would especially be the case if our draw has zero showdown value. I don't think it's a huge deal to be x/r-calling with this draw though. It's basically a break even call given the pot-odds we are getting but the value comes from the FE we get with a raise. X/r to this sizing does set up slightly awkward river stacks though.
So overall our best options are either x/c turn based on our pot-odds implieds, or x/jam if we think we have decent fold-equity.
People are less likely to fold to a x/r, when they have position on you, and when the board has a flush draw.
You also risk to be shoved on.
In this spot I sometimes like to x/c the flop and donk out the turn. But probably not in this spot (the board is too wet). He gave you great odds to call turn, no need to reraise him. And you always have an opportunity to donk bluff the river, if the 8 comes.
