Am i overkilling w/ these sizings? I mean they're pretty huge. Based on the last week or so i'm thinking that I bet around 2/3 pot on flop and bet a lot smaller on the river especially when draws miss. Because my strategy w/ monsters has been pretty linear.

Hi legand,

Ask yourself a bit about his ranges here.

Can his range call a river shove there? Can you expect Jx to call you on that river? if he is a huge fish, which it doesn't necessarly appear to be the case, he could definitely call you.

You could bet smlaler on river to induce from his entire range.

Well based on the texture he doesn't have much other than pairs and I guess Jx would be the majority of hands that we're targetting by a river bet. Jx and the odd Kx. I definitely prefer betting smaller and i'm gonna work on implementing that line more because I feel like i'm missing out on a lot of potential value by overkilling the sizings on the river.

Even a bit lower - 3.30 perhaps.

Definitely be open to be flexible with your bets in all positions/spots.

Think about ranges before you make any decision and you'll see how things will get easier. Because if you expect a certain range you will know how to exploit it via bet size, or at least think about it.
