I think you should even fold preflop. A cap at a FR game is very strong so you are dominated most of the time which makes you lose a lot money postflop.

Also take a look at MP3's PFR and AF. You really should fold this preflop. The flop is a fold for me as well against 2 bets.

This is a definite leak then for me as I have always called in these situations then folded flop UI, call down if hit the A or better. I have missed the correct line from the articles. I'm really glad I've posted this as MP3 had KK and UTG1 had something like K3 - I certainly wouldn't have picked my PF line was at fault!

So PF standard line is to fold to 3-bet/CAP for 2 bets with anything other than AA-QQ, AK?

And are we folding to 2 bets on the flop purely because of the PF CAP and we don't have 2 pair or better?, or is the flop action sufficient to convince us we are behind and should fold for 2 bets?

Does the fact UTG1 has a small stack and is likely committing to the pot with a wider range than a standard TAG affect our thinking at all, or is this still just a very easy fold?

Wow that are a lot questions. Let me tr sorting them.

1) I wonder why it's not in the article. Yes ou fold all hands except AA-QQ, AK against a 3-bet and cap. Maybe 99-JJ can be included as well because we can play these for setvalue. I asked our writer about it.

2) Here we mainly fold because after the cap a single pair isn't strong enough anymore against 2 bets.
If we raised preflop and get callers only then we would 3-bet ourself in the same situation. (Well we wouldn't check in the first place but I think you know what I mean.)
So here we consider the preflopaction to rate our handstrength on the flop. You should always do this when possible.
To continue here I think that a twopair or better is the least we need.

3) Yes if an opponent has a small stack he often tries to get in his last money. But I don't think that you should overrate it here. He had enough to pay 4 SB preflop and 3 bets on the turn so this isn't that weak. Not weak enough to go crazy with another opponent in as well. If you would be HU then calling down against him should be ok.

When you raise pre flop and get a 3-bet behind you, you call no matter what. With a cap behind you, you fold all other hands than AKo/s+ and QQ+.

I understood Cirith's explanation as you should also fold to 3-bet. According to strategies ALWAYS call a 3-bet after your own raise.

And yeah.. AJo is a fold preflop FR..
