$530 77 vs suspicious 3bet.

yeh seems pretty passive given his pfr too, (although only an 8 hand sample) I don't expect this to be a bluff almost ever, imo it's a pretty easy fold. Then again, it's interesting.... if you think about it, he's got the sort of stack size where if he 3 bets to 5bb's and folds to a shove, he still has the same manoeuvrability in his stack, as what he had before the 3bet (a re-shove stack, with fold equity) but adding another 3.5 bb's to his stack would be pretty significant. I have been experimenting at these stack sizes, e.g 18-30bb's (3bet folding), 12-20bb's (raise folding) notice that a 3 bet with 18-30bb's and a min raise at 12-20bb's doesn't really effect your options if unsuccessful, nobody ever expects you to 3 bet fold with less than 30 bigs nor do they expect you min raise fold with 12-20bb's, so I've had quite a bit off success from this (small sample though!). Pretty interesting!

Did you post this from year 2006 or something? I think even at micros people are brave enough to 3bet fold with 20 BB these days.
Usually at spots like this,when no stats available,I check sharkscope and if villain is reg-shove,if fish/fishreg-fold.

sorry I meant to say 12-15bb's, raise fold. 20bb's of course you can get away.

i do bluff in spots like that i like this spot to take a bluff there, because its very hard to play against 20bb 3bet, also very important is positions in this spot, SB 3bet 20bb eff vs UTG is super strong, thats why its very good spot to balance it with bluffs.
but i would fold also with 77 there
