Hi,
Please excuse my ignorance but some brief advice on this issue would be appreciated.
I am a recreational player and I play a lot of local to local-ish live tournaments (for the most part just nightly casino donkaments) and beat them pretty easily and frequently. My mate (who knows nothing about poker) has noticed this and wants to start taking pieces of me simply as a fun way to gamble, which is fine by me as I just play for fun. But I don't know what a fair deal would be re. percentages as I'm naive regarding this sort of gamblo stuff.
So if I was playing a £200 tournament and gave me £50, that's 25%. But I'm assuming it would be irregular to simply hand 25% of any cash to him, as I'm the one doing the work, sat there for two days winning the money. What is the orthodoxy here? Is it like 24%, or 19%, or literally at the varying discretion of the people involved?
I'm just after a rough idea because he's a mate and I don't want to be unintentionally ripping him off through having no understanding of fair staking.
Cheers in advance.
