Bet half pot and fold to a raise is the best option here in my opinion.

You have to bet on the turn if you want to try to win. If you check almost all the time the villain will bet .

Even 1/3 pot will do the same. If the passive fish wakes up with a raise, you have to fold as the flush got there and the board paired.
