I don't see a hand that he is calling preflop and check/raising the flop with besides sets. QQ+ would 3bet preflop probably. JJ-TT most likelly wouldn't check/raise. He probably doesn't have a straight because I doubt he would call 87s preflop given positions. He also wouldn't bluff in a multy-way pot. Maybe I'm a nit, but since we have a bottom set, I think we could bet/fold the flop. If we called the flop, I think we should give up on the turn, at least.

Alleen86, I think that QQ wouldn't always 3-bet pre and sometimes these guys might get thrilled with hands like A9 and TT-JJ. On the contrary, he seems tight so this doesn't apply to him.

Do you have any info on his post-flop aggression with this small sample? It could give us some clues about what he has.

I think on such a dry board versus a raise versus that villain I could call one-two streets at most, but river is at least a fold. Even with a set.

How many 4x he would have on his flop raising range?

I myself don't see a NL5 player do such moves on a multiway board. I haven't seen that happening with bottom pair+backdoor like ever on nl5 :f_biggrin: . So I think he is never bluffing here. I could be wrong, but these guys are not most likely capable to do such a move. And on the other hand, it's not profitable as microstakes players tend to call to much and it would be some sort of a suicide to do a move like that with hand like 45s in this spot.

Might be, but I don't think they would call QQ preflop and check/raise the flop in a multy-way pot. As you said, they sometimes do get thrilled with something like TP or an overpair on the flop, but since the pot is multy-way, they might be a little bit more carefull.

You are right in your last sentence- villains tend to be tighter in mw pots.
For the educational purposes let's switch places with villain. What will your play be with overpairs?

In my opinion, the best move multi-way with an overpair would be donking and then you have an easy fold in most cases if someone decides to raise. If there would be callers to your donk, then you should probably bet the turn with an overpair also, but probably check/fold the river.
