Villain should not have too much 9x on this river unless he is a bit stationy but you did bet 1/2 pot twice so it is certainly possible. He also shouldn't have any Ax that beats you, given positions since he should 3 bet AJ+. I would bet like 5-6BB and hope to get a call from Jx or induce from missed diamonds or missed straight draws.

Isn't our hand too weak to seek 3 streets of value?

vs. unknown I would check back river and get some notice. Many players like to bluff when the board pairs and I don't think we could call river raise.

I'd b/f for 1/2 pot because I am pretty sure that the villain will raise the hands that beat us.

I think villain's range would be weighted more towards Ax, Jx than a 9 (or better).

Chances of a Jx calling on R would be quite low imo. So betting normal is not going to generate much value.

So to avoid a split I overbet R :f_biggrin:

I think I would check back for the reason I don't expect to get value. For the same reason, I don't mind a small bet to target Jx, but I would rather check back.

The question is if he is raising only the hands that beat us?

HI. This small cbet on the flop is very bad for you;) As played I gonna X back the river, because I doesn't see any more value.
