Practice!
The whole mechanics is different. No HUD, how big is the pot?, people starring you down, etc.
I'm going to my first live poker game on Thursday, only been playing a few weeks. Had some luck on the spin and goes but I know I'm going to make myself look like and idiot. Practice makes Perfect.

Hi, josroch,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com!
Live poker can be a lot of fun!
As for looking like an idiot, you're right it takes a lot of practice to get the look just right! ![]()
Best of luck,

In addition to what I wrote above, tells come into play, both picking them up and suppressing your own. This is serious business. Take the average high-rolling supernova. He or she might crush NL5000 online, but is probably crushed himself if he tries to play against Doyle, Daniel and company in a friendly little $200 000 buy-in televised live cash game. Doyle might say (to himself) something like "I think you are bluffing" instead of "I'm at the top of my bluff-catching range" and pick off a huge bluff with a ridiculous hand. Live is VERY different.
