River bet or not? Part 2

A is a scare card and I think if he has an A he will bet it himself. But as you see his VPIP, he can have almost anything here. I am not sure if such a player knows where the fold button is.

I would check and wait for a better reason to bet

I think if we want to do anything with this hand (not saying we definitely should!) we should either stab flop with our gutshot + overs or raise the turn with the intention of bombing most rivers. Otherwise just try and check it down. If you bet river and he raises then it's not a 3bet or a call, so definitely a bet/fold.

I might have mubs here but I feel that in this situation fish can easily show up with Ax and check the river because they are scared that you slowplayed trips. Fish do not understand what the hell is going on and they just see better hands possible and start pot controlling. Doesn't mean they fold though. I also think his turn bet is just a probe to see where he's at and he probably will bet loads of rivers quite big if you just call his small bet thinking you would raise turn with a stronger hand. Then he hits his A and gets scared that you might have trips.

I would like to donk the flop. As played, I think it's better to give up the river. He has Ax often there and if he doesn't, I doubt we have enough fold equity.

You may try to bet the ace, maybe he'd fold something. I wouldn't mind that, for fun.
