I think a good start of Contador and Kreuziger in the time trail of the favourites, but still a long way to go off course.

Orica GreenEdge won the opening team time trial last year as well. Australians are renowned for being good time triallers and sprinters but until Michael Rogers and Cadel Evans, we never had any top notch climbers. Now we have Richie Porte and he's even better than being Australian because he's Tasmanian

It will nice for him if he could win it, but I expect his not strong enough on the highest mountain stages if you compare it with the other favourites like Contador, Uran and Aru, but he could surprise me

I miss the competition on Giro, as it was in the past. Good old times of Pantani & co. Its the same on Tour. It is still fun, but lacks something.

missing Nibali this year ,, guess Contador and Uran is the biggest favorites and maybe Richie can do something, Aru will finish 3rd or 4th, dont think hes good enough,, Kreutziger and Konig no chance to win since they are help riders..

Contador started well. Hopefully his injury will be no problem for him any more after the rest day of today, but bases on the mountain stages of yesterday an the day before he has not much problems with it.

my money is still at contador, aru and astana looks really strong and puting great pressure at contador but doesnt looks like contador have any problems and think he have more to show the next week :-)

Little bit nasty that Richie Porte lost 2 minutes by a penalty yesterday when someone else than his teammates helps him with a new wheel. I think it’s a dubious rule: Richie Porte’s Giro d’Italia hopes deflated by puncture and penalty. Now I don’t think he will win anymore, but you newer know off course.

nice to help a friend, but i think sky messed this up, they cant let Richie ride as last guy, should allways be some team mate behind him to help him in cases likes this,,, was actually supriced to see a guy from another team help him,, its allmost like chipdumping to a broke friend..:f_rolleyes:

Today a individual time trial over almost 60km. That could be interesting to see if Contador gets back in the pink jersey after the unlucky situation of yesterday when he lost 36 seconds on Aru.

Yesterday Contador won more than 2 minutes on Aru in the time trial and today he was also the best cyclist of the 2. I think it will be difficult to beat him in the next couple of stages.

i think only thing that can stop contador to win now is a injury... but great work from astana and aru so far and if he can get 2nd its a great one for him :-)

You newer know off course, but there are still some difficult stages this week and 1 unlucky moment can cost a lot of time than. Hopefully everything will go normal with him.

So far is Landa I think the surprise of the Giro, but with 5 minutes behind Contador on the moment he will not win it or something weird will happened today or tomorrow.

Yeah landa is a big suprice. he have in my eyes been stronger then Aru in the mountains, but Contador is the king this year for sure, really easy controlling the race i think

Today the last mountain stage and I don’t think there will happened to much craziness, but hopefully it will be a nice stage to watch.

No surprises in the last 2 stages. So Contador won the Giro.
Hopefully he’s recovered enough in July to have a good change in the Tour de France as well.
