Hi all,

since i do like tennis, to play and watch and right now is french open, one of the big 4, so i thought it would be interesting to hear your thoughts , :f_smile: whos your favorite? and why? will Nadal win again? or is it finally time for Djokovic to win? or maybe Murray who have showed great form this year? or maybe Federer ?

i myself think Djokovic but would really like to see some big suprice, like the young Austalians or maybe Coric....

I expect Djokovic will win this time, but maybe Nadal surprise me by winning again if he’s back in form again.
I expect the female competition is a lot more interesting, but I think Serena Williams is the favorite.

The female tournament is i think more open for suprices, after the 2 big names Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova is alot of decent players that at the right day can beat all players but also lose to some unknown,,, My guess is Williams,,, outsider Makarova., :f_rolleyes:

Jekaterina Makarova would be a decent surprise if she wins or reached the finals, but we will see what happened. First she need to beat Ana Ivanović in the 4th round and that will be a nice match I think.

Makarova lost against Ivanovic. I expect that Ivanovic could be a dark horse for the title.

Today the clash between Novak Djokovic (Ser,1) and Rafael Nadal (Spa,6). I expect the winner of this quarter final match will win the title in the end, but Stan Wawrinka could be a dark horse. He’s doing great so far.

Djokovic had a 15 minuts period in first set where he played kind of bad with alot of easy mistakes (gave Nadal the chance to get back to 4-4) but otherwise i think he was the best player today,, Nadal was in my eyes really passsive all match, expected more from him.
Murray continues being undefeated at clay this year, (together with Djokovic) after beating Ferrer as expected, could be a great semifinal between them both, with Djokovic as favorit.

Wawrinka - Tsonga in other semifinal, both played some great tennis this week and i think Wawrinka is favorit but maybe Tsonga can put up a suprice with the home fans behind his back..

2 interesting matches ups for sure, but I think Murray isn’t strong enough on clay to make it Djokovic to difficult and Wawrinka is way to strong on clay to get beaten by Tsonga. It would be a surprise if they don’t reach the final in the end.

Serena Williams won the ladies final. Not a big surprise for me. I would expect a little surprise, because she was ill the last couple of days. In the end she was strong enough to win.

Tomorrow see if Djokovic can win his first French open title.

Little bit surprised that Wawrinka won against Djokovic in the final, but he was the best player yesterday I think.
