Why do you rule out 99/88 but give him QQ/JJ? Is he really going to minraise second pair on the flop or fold 99/88 pre?

I think the turn bet is only going to get called by better hands. This guy is 13/9 so he has very few Kx hands in his range that he sees the flop with in a 3-bet pot. Nevermind I thought this was NL10 didn't see it's a half-pot shove. Turn is fine.

Betting turn is mandatory.

If he has us, he'll bet OTR anyway - and we will call. On the other hand, if he doesn't have us, he will either call with a worse made hand or he will call with a draw or he was bluffing air and will fold. Only versus the last category is a check-back on the turn the best option. I think that part of his range is small. A :club: or a straightening card would be horrible. Now we would have a tough spot if he donks, but we have to call (getting more than 3:1) since we checked turn...

I think villain will not raise us that small when holding the weaker sets. If he has a set his raise should be bigger.
I would bet turn too. The stack left is less than 1/2pot...
