when putting opponents on ranges which model should i use sklansky-karlson or the hand vs 3 random hand models or does it depend on the game i am playing.

Hi, ShamHiggins,
I think (but I'm not sure) that S-K is based on heads-up hand rankings.
So perhaps you might want to construct ranges for each model to see what the difference might be.

I'm guessing that the difference might be just one or two cards.
By that I mean that under one model you might have ATo as the bottom offsuit Ace hand, in other it might have A9o

For myself, I think that it is far more important to consider the tendencies of the individual players in the hand with us when deciding what hands to open-raise with or call with.

Cheers,
VS
