Last morning WhiteWalker (here V) and me had a hand vs each other:

The preflop call:
I find my play a bit weak, since V mostly has AAxx, strong KKxx or a better connected premium RD and my hand has a huge gap in it. A bit more advanced I think it is a okish call when we see the low openraissize. Yes/no? :f_p:

Flop:
I think since I block the NFD I have a call vs his AAxx, KKxx w FD, Qxxx-RDs (and maybe some other FDs) only needing ~ 29%.

Turn:
Here is the keypoint in my opinion.
V bets big with an SPR of ~2.4 . SO he either has IT , a Q with a FD+OVCs or KKxx with a FD thats want a Q to fold.

Board: Q♠Q♦7♦ T♦
              Equity  Win
MP2: Preflop  41.48%    40.25%          { AdKh9s8d }
        Flop  30.96%    30.68%
        Turn  44.52%    44.52%
MP3: Preflop  58.52%    57.29%          { 5%&Q, KKdd/ds, TT&dd, 77, QT, Q7 }
        Flop  69.04%    68.76%
        Turn  55.48%    55.48%

I think we can dicount some hand from PPT, since AJTTss wouldsn't be as good for a resteal against a reg, I think.

What a bout WWs play? Is this hand good anough for a resteal? I would only rest it when it's ds or more connected. (Am I too tight? )

@my buddy: "Sorry for the setup, bro!" :sorry:

I'll give you my thinking in this hand. I c-bet as standard. When you call a c-bet I can apply a range:
- Qx hands, I doubt Q7 is in your calling range much unless its as a dangler. I expect AQ to raise unless you have the FD or house. I discard 77xx (you could have it but I doubt it, I would look at the stats I have on you but I don't think I know your handle on stars) and of course Flush draws. In a 3bet pot I can likely expect the NFD to there a lot considering I block the 2nd Nut flush draw and the 3rd is on the board.

- The turn, I can be three betting run downs, I have KK at this point and I would continue betting QTJK, AQKT, etc. premium run downs and of course my flush. When you call, I feel like a stubborn queen could be there but I likely think that this is raising flop to charge draws, well AQ anyways.

- On the river, I don't think you can have any bluffs in your range really. Maybe the A♦: and a :Qx: but that is likely it. So I give up, you likely either have J high flush you may give up but in a 3-bet pot and paired board but I think it is unlikely and I figured you aren't laying the A high flush down. It is likely spewy on the river to continue, I could think you have Q rag, but I don't think so enough, against a reg anyways.

I would have 3/4 pot left, laying you 2.25:1 or so, I think you call as my range does not have many QT, Q7 combos in it and can be AAxx, KKxx with blocker to flush that tries to push strong flush away. If the board was QJ, QK, AQ I may consider three barrel bluffing. Considering at the time I didn't know what you had but I don't think I have enough FH's in my range.

Hope my thinking came across there haha.

I don't like the hand to resteal with that much. Sure u are ahead of most of the range, but your 2P isn't eihter connected nor doublesuited. So playing OOP in a big pot isn't so favourable with that hand.

Like u said the flop CB is standard. The range is very near what I woould gave me.

My range to the turn:
Q7 are not only possible with danglers, also in hands that are a bit connected (kinda QJ97ss).
77 also only very rare (I think of 7765ds)
FDs I would discard some NFDs as I don't call also of Axxx hands compared to my wide openingrange. I think I would call some FD OTF, but I doubt it would be +EV, because u are repping a NF or similar (3betrange).

U are kinda saying, that u mad a bluffbet. I think it is. The question is if I would fold better or call worse. What do you think? (+ why this betsize?)
vs a random Q u have 48% equity. That surprises my alot! :f_o:

I I like your river analysis alot! :f_love: Nothing else to add there.
ALex :)

Preflop:
I would almost always call these positions. Villain seems nit and against huge nits I could fold sometimes (even though you can outplay such players right boards), but sample size is too small to make big assumptions.

Flop+Turn:
Calling. If river is really bad card that completes a lot of Qxxx fullhouses, I can give up if I have a read that villain is not that aggro.

River:
Such SPR and villain does not shove, we have always the best hand. I don't see much of anything calling our shove though.

WhiteWalker point of view:
Don't hate 3bet pre. Standard cbet on this flop.

Turn, what is the point of our bet? Nothing worse is calling, nothing better is folding. Villain should always have something this board, maybe if he just floated with random air to outplay you he can fold (or bluff shove, as that would be the plan with random air somewhere). Your bet is a bluff, you rep at least Qxxx, and when you didn't plan to complete your bluff with river shove, I don't like it.

I agree. But like in Skods Vids the hand is not very good for a big pot OOP. It neither has alot of nutpotential (except 2outs) nor is it connected/suited enough to hit a lot of flops.
KK22ds, KKTTss I would rather like more!
