At a 9 player sit and go I was down to final 4 players with first 3 getting paid out. We all had in the range 3-4000 chips and the blinds where 150-300. I was first to act with A8 of clubs with about 3100 chips.
I shoved, the button folded, the small blind called and the bb tanked then folded.
The small blind turned over QQ and it held up. What was the correct strategy in this spot. Obviously in this case with the BB tanking there is a good chance 1 of the 2 of them would have busted in this instance. Was shoving optimal or is folding better considering any call I would more than likely be dominated. Is there an argument for raising to 2 BB or even calling and folding to a shove?
