Pre-flop is indeed a fold better.

On the flop I would check/call, because he has still a lot of better hands in his range and with raising you get only action of better. If I raise here I would make it 250 or so. This way you have a little bit more fold equity and you get more value as well. Off course is this a bluff raise most likely.

As played I would fold the river. I can't see weaker hands in his range than top pair or better.

What do you think about raising big on the flop, and if called, forget about the hand ?

If he called I would give up the turn. Board is extreme wet with a 4 card straight on the board and it's unlikely he fold than if you barrel again I think.
