PokerStars - $0.05 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 111.2 BB
SB: 101.4 BB
BB: 100 BB
UTG: 150.2 BB
Hero (MP): 169 BB
CO: 55 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♥ K♦

fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, BTN calls 3 BB, fold, fold

Flop: (7.4 BB, 2 players) 3♥ Q♠ 3♠
Hero bets 5.2 BB, fold,

zoom reg

Vs bad reg I have written that we can cbet on paired boards a ton because on micros in general they play weak vs cbets and they miss a lot on this board, so its autoprofit.

But vs good reg (lets say at least he has 40% fcbet stat) I feel that might be too light, did not do frequencies analisis but probably if we include this, we have too high cbet on this texture?

I'd be more inclined to cbet this if I had KsJh or KJhh. Good regs will float this kind of flop a lot, and I'd like some more backdoor equity for that.

Hi,

Just my 2 cents: If you just keep on going ch/fold on these tables against "good regs", you are losing surprisingly lot in the long run. Sometime you should have a plan for future streets here, too. Like MJPerry said, good regs will float a lot here. Thus, you should be planning to cbet at least 2 streets here on good cards from time to time. Like if you hit a K on turn, you can go on. Other good cards are aces, tens, even spades could be good against a guy who folds to cbets like 40 % of the time.

Other things to consider here are your backdoor equity and positions. Having a K of spades in this particular hand could give us more cards to keep firing on turn.

I would not open KJo from MP unless there is a fish on the blinds. If I cbet this board I prefer to have some blocker to the hands that would call. The weakest hand would be probably A♠:Q.

What do you mean by more inclined - you mean we do not cbet when we have no backdoor flushdraw or we still cbet here even without backdoor fd? With backdoor FD std cbet for me.

I think K I am checking back if I plan to bet just 2 streets and let him bluff. Isn't it better move? And barrel semibluffs and KQ+.

That way I have chance to win more from floats in case he does.

AQ we cbet here for value. I do not understand what you meant?

KJo is standard open from MP.
WHat everyone s trying to tell you is that there is not a clear cut decision. There will be times whne you would like to cbet - villain is less experience and gets scared of paired boards...etc.
There will be times you will not want to cbet - vilain is a good reg that will float you a lot....

so I guess as with cbets - we have to fold to cbet about 40% - same when we check, right - we have to check fold 40% of our checking range, otherwise its autoprofit to bet any 2 theoreticaly if we x/f more than 40% of our checking range?

You have to balance your ranges so, that noone is autoprofiting vs you. Not only checking, but betting ranges too.
As you moveup the limits you will have some of the stronger hands in you x/c or x/r ranges...
