SB: $12.31 (123.1 bb)
BB: $10.35 (103.5 bb)
CO: $10.85 (108.5 bb)
Hero (BTN): $10 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 5 A
CO folds, Hero raises to $0.21, SB folds, BB raises to $0.70, Hero raises to $1.60, BB calls $0.90

Flop: ($3.25) 9 Q J (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.80, BB calls $1.80

Turn: ($6.85) 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $6.60 and is all-in, BB calls $6.60

Preflop: Standard open from the BTN. The reg (24/17) with 10,1% overall 3bet and 17% 3bet BB vs BTN decided to 3bet, so I decided to take a stab with A5o. It's a bit loose because my standard range in this situation would be like this:

Anyway, since he is more aggressive than it's usual, I think I can defend a bit wider range and A5o could probably be a decent 4bet bluff hand. He folded to 4bet 2 times out of 3 occasions (1 of 2 when was OOP). Maybe my 4bet range would look like this vs him:

When he calls my 4bet, I think he has something like:

Flop: I hit a good flop with the nut flushdraw, but it also hits his range quite good. Against the range I gave him preflop (QQ-TT,AQs+,AKo), I have 38% of equity, but more important is my fold equity in this situation, imo. I have a great fold equity vs hands that are better than mine - AK on the flop and AQ, TT by the turn (K and 8 non club would not be the best cards on the turn). I expect QQ, JJ to check/shove the flop, in which case I would be in bad shape, but if we assume that he sometimes has AQ or a bluff/semi-bluff, I have to call the shove and it would be a very close call.

Anyway, when we hit the nut flushdraw in a 4bet pot, I think we usually have to be prepared to go broke on the flop/turn, so my plan was to bet/call the flop and shove the turn if he check/calls the flop. I should probably cbet the flop a bit bigger to set my turn size better. He folds 53% to flop cbets.

I came to this spot with the range of 8,37%. In a 4bet pot, I probably want to cbet like 50%, which is range of 4,2%. So, my cbetting range would look like this:

(TT+,AQs,AcKc,Ac8c,Kc8c,Ac7c,Kc7c,Ac6c,Kc6c,ATo,AdKc,AhKc,AsKc,AcKd,AcKh,AcKs,Ac5d,Ac5h,Ac5s,Ac4d,Ac4h,Ac4s) - 4,90%.

Turn: Not the best card because TT is never folding now, but as planned on the flop, I decided to shove. Something like AK:club: and AQ is likelly folding and I still have the equity with the nut flushdraw, even against sets+.

I think your range is pretty well formulated.
You might want to add possibly some 9Ts, JTs, JQs, KQs as well if you have had history which is probably not folding either
I also like your sizing as you prepare perfectly for a near pot size on the turn .

Now I don't like the 4 bet pre with A5o. I much prefer calling his 3bet IP, if he is overly aggressive or even a fold is not that bad.

As played, OTF, in a 4bet pot, you can bet a lot smaller and play it on 3 streets as well; would you bet over 1/2 pot if you had hit the nut flush or the straight flush?
you can even c/b and get a free card... although I much prefer to bet the flop and hope for a free card OTT

As played, OTT, the 8♥: is a terrible card vs and reduces quite a bit his folding range. I would definitely C/b and play only if you hit your flush

How come is calling 3bet with A5o more ev than 4betting? I guess we should have good read that he is shuting down in 3bet pots ott in good percentage of time to do this? i might x/b otf here

We should 4bet or fold. Calling with A5o vs a 17% range is not ok.

I disagree, I feel comfortable to play A5o IP vs a 17% 3bet range., but I agree that maybe not every one should.

A5o is weaker than villain's 3 betting Ax.

If the range I gave him is correct, probably he would fold AK no matter the sizing, so I don't hate your idea, but I'm also trying to fold out TP and TT by the turn and I wont accomplish that with small sizes (obviously, TT wont fold on this particular turn, of course). On the other hand, vs AK:club: I have a fold equity on the river in case I don't hit, but I will also get value from it if I hit the flush. QQ, JJ, TT is probably check/calling no matter what, but I expect QQ and JJ to check/raise the flop, so I would pretty much discount it from his range on the turn.

I definitely would not assume that he raises with the nuts even on a drawy board. Majority of players will slow play the nuts so I definitely would not discount it. Don't forget a range is not how you would play his cards but how the villain would play it. Assuming that TT would fold any turn is not evident especially if he has the T♣: because 4 to the straight flush is pretty. and with that particular turn, if you fold only AK (not even sure if that particular villain folds :Ax: K♣: in this spot. I don't think you have enough fold equity to justify the push.

Looks okay. Not too sure about turn shove though.

Like somebody already said, sizings suck here a lot. You could and should go for like 1/3 pot bets in 4-bet pots. Think of how good situtation you might had had here - 1/3 on flop, check on that horrible turn and see a free river card.
