Hi guys,

Villain was at this point unknown, because my HUD didn´t work at this time. My generall question is, may i go broke here with QQ, but should i fold AK?

I give Villain this brokingrange:

       Equity     Win     Tie
BU     40.21%  38.35%   1.86% { QhQc }
BB     59.79%  57.93%   1.86% { QQ+, AKs, AKo }

I need around 38% Equity for a call. So this is a call.

But if i have AKo for example:

       Equity     Win     Tie
BU     38.82%  18.15%  20.68% { AdKh }
BB     61.18%  40.50%  20.68% { QQ+, AKs, AKo }

Then it is a fold i think. Do you agree?

I think you shouldn't call his 5bet shove with QQ.. Villains range here is very very often just KK+ so you have 0 equity.. You can't call even if his range is KK+,AKs.
QQ+,AKs,AKo is a very optimistic range for unknown villain here imo.

If you are here with AK it is close to folding if we do not have any info on villains shoving range. If you want to call with AK it should be AKs :)

4betting QQ here is fine but you can also just call villains 3bet.

We are talking about BUxBB... QQ+ and AK seems really reasonable for me to go broke.

I have to disagree here. In these positions QQ+, AK is for sure. Some can go even further.

Even further - TT, AJs, but that is if you have info on villain.

Sure, I would say if its an aggro fish that is 3betting/going broke all the time, u can do this w 99+, AJ+... its all about adaptation.

99 - no. No value there.

If the guy is 3betting/going broke with A8, or even worse, it has value. We are talking about adaptation.

Villain rarely will do that with A8. 99 - out!

C'mon guys, let's be real. In these positions we run easily against TT+,AJ+, maybe even AT. Calling pre is reasonable but I believe we miss Value vs. TT-JJ, and sometimes AQ if we just flat. So I'd easily go broke here

In those limits its possible to find some crazy recreational that are stacking off w J7, Q4, 33... I bet that most of the guys here already saw that. They are just donating money and exist. That said, if u face a guy doing this, folding 99 is a crime.

MJPerry posted a pic (great, btw) saying like... If u are approaching poker in absolutes, u are not doing it properly.

Its a game played by humans. And if u wait to have aces to stack the kind of guy I mentioned... guess what, someone already did.

I m talking about adaptation, that is the topic we where talking. And u said that "99 - out!". Like no situation we would have value w this holding.

Villains will squeeze with higher cards to 99, even on a bluff. No value on there. Adaptation is not expanding you range to using any 2! Adaptation should be done while still providing us with +EV moves...
